This could be possible. Think about DA:Awakening. How long after DA:O did that come out? It was about 6 months right? I could see this being a ME2 Expansion. However, who is the guy in the trailer if that's the case?

This is really really exciting if it's true.

It would clearly explain why there's been so long of no news of the next DLC.  Though one thing about this rumor puzzles me, why would they go out of their way and announce an expansion at a major gaming event?  I mean, what huge expansions ever got nationally-televised treatment?  C&C 3: Kane's Wrath? Ha!

If it's a pseudo-half-sequel/continuation like Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, I would understand.  Though really a new IP would be more likely because really BioWare's history traditionally doesn't focus on one franchise for too long.  (SS > BG > MDK2 > BG2 > NWN > KOTOR > JA > ME > SC > DA:O > ME2 > DA2 > ???)

My bet is that this is a new IP.

EDIT: Yes I missed a couple of minor games and expansions in that list but my point is that really you don't just see sequels/expansions all the time with BioWare, a new IP/game will pop up; and it seems like a new game will pop up soon, according to their history.

idk dude. dragon age 2, mass effect 3 and the old republic mmo all comming out in the next couple years. bioware seem to have their hands full of IPs at the moment. not saying they couldn't do more if they wanted to, but they are by no means short on material.



mass effect related is the safest bet, weather it be the third game, a spinoff or an expansion.

Yeah that could be what it is, its more logical than announcing ME3 right now and far more likely than something like Alpha Protocol.



An ME2 "expansion" on DVD that bridges the story between ME2 and ME3. Like a Bioshock Infinite, DA:A or Assassin's Creed Brotherhood type of thing. That would actually be really cool! I would drop the $59 USD in a heartbeat.



It would also explain the Incisor since it would fit the timeline.



The guy in the trailer could just be a new person BioWare is introducing to the ME universe.





I really hope its not a FPS Call of Duty: Mass Effect game.

I honestly doubt it's an ME2 expansion. I would love it to be the case, though.

it is most likely another game. maybe mass effect related or maybe not. im guess no just another game we are all going to love as much as the me universe. (i hope its a trilogy too)

As long as it is Mass Effect related, AND going to be released on PC, I don't actually care whether it is ME2 DLC, ME3 or totally new game.

Bioware doesn't make bad games - they never did, and that is unlikely to change.

If you look a the universe section, and under squad you'll notice there are two squad members left as classified. Liara is also not listed here. I'm thinking that those last two squad members will tie in dlc that will tie in ME2 to ME3. Perhaps the guy with the incisor rifle is one of our new squad members. I saw someone post that Bioware said we'd get no new squad members, but <shrug>. Or, if Liara does count towards one of those classified members, perhaps Kaiden or Ashley will be in the next one?



Other than that.. I think it would also be awesome if they made a game, similar to DA:O where you play as the blight, but instead you play as Legion. And it starts out with legion investigating Eden Prime, etc. to follow the trail of Cmdr. Shepard. I'm kinda sad that legion is such an amazing character, but you only get to do his loyalty mission before going through the omega4 relay to save your shipmates. Such limited usage before the end of the game makes me a sad panda. Having a dlc or xpac where you play as legion would be pretty awesome.

Annual. Anyway, I'm thinking that it's going to be ME3 or some ME2 expansion if that truly is London. I mean, I don't see them making a non-series related game that could muck up the plot that much, and that most certainly is an Incisor. Enough with the speculation, if that's London, it's ME3 or an ME2 add on.
