No it hasn't.  Great find and that resembles the crosshairs of the Mass Effect 2 sniper rifle so it probably confirms it's mass effect related.

Wow this pic completely changed my mind, but ill throw my opinion in anyway. if you pause the vid, you can see the soldier has no (for lack of a better word) backpack, or glowy circle where the heavy weapon locks into. so that would lead to say no. but after the above picture im frothing at the mouth for ME3

Why are people saying that this is going to be a story of Shanxi??? BW said that they are going to release some DLCs bridging ME2 with ME3, Shanxi is past. How do you expect Shepard to take part into this?? Go back in time??



It either ME3 or some new game based in ME universe. But if this is about Shanxi, then it is not a part of ME2 game. Final.

In addition to Eatchildren's awesome collection of info, the new picture gave us this fence, which seems identical to the fence in front of the Houses of Parliament in London.



On the theory somne forumites threw up a couple of days ago, that the Sniper might be sitting in Big Ben's clock, I looked out of the clock tower via Google Earth:



Which would probably give the crosshairs (which seems identical to the Incisor's scope in ME2) a trajectory somewhat like this:



That's one theory, anyway.

You could have a game about people caught in the initial attack, with Mass Effect 3 being about Shepard leading the counter-attack.

Nothing 'cept Kotor 3 or Baldur's Gate 3. And neither looks very likely in connection to that Teaser.

When did FPSs start having no story?
Half-Life? Halo? None of these games occur to you?

And besides, Bioware could probably give tetris a story. They can do anything...story wise. Remember the famous rule in gaming. Grass is green, the sky is blue, and Bioware games have better stories than other games.

And it can't be ME3. It would not be so gritty especially since ME3 is mentioned to be light-hearted compared to ME2.

One Problem with your theory the Sniper is looking out of a reasonably large glass window and Westminister tower (Big Ben) has no windows like the ones the Sniper is looking through. Just look at this picture  http://www.inetours....n_face_8381.jpg  I cant see any windows like the one in the teaser.

Well, Big Ben does have one bigass Window - or rather four of them, one in each direction... provided you knocked out the milky white glass which obviously happened in the picture with the sniper...
Yep, exactly, I'm saying the sniper is sitting behind the metal skeleton of the face of Big Ben's 8 metre tall clock, somewhere between 6 and 7 o'clock.
What we see the Sniper hiding behind would of course only be a very small part of the overall clock structure, so it's impossible to confirm, but the cast-iron bars and milky white glass shards in the picture would fit.
