Agree that its ME related, but the art direction is way off what were normally used too (style of armour and environment) Most likely a frame from a trailer.

Exciting to speculate on!

hmmm dont know why but it sparks the image of First Person Shooter sort of style... I really hope thats my mind playing tricks on me and its not a ME related FPS game.

ME was build for Third persecptive so I won't worry about it much. Image IPB

As others have mentioned, this may be a Shattered Steel reboot using the Mass Effect engine.

I love the random Canada/Earth coldest temperature stuff.

Guys, we have three indisputable data points:

1) A rifle that is clearly the Incisor.
2) The atomic weight of iron
3) -128.5F (-89C)

There's a planet within the Mass Effect universe (#1) that has an iron oxide surface and known for its Iron Canyons (#2) with a surface temperature of -89C (#3). We can speculate as to why their clues point to Aequitas, but I haven't heard anyone try to argue that the hints don't do just that.

Aequitas fits in with all three clues.

Man you are genius ! :D Everything fits !
JUST LOOK HERE GUYS : masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Aequitas I think now we can say we now something !
But what  they want to say with this planet, I really dunno

honestly this is the least zany thing i've seen so far....the money is on aequitas people...place yer bets here

then again if you've seen the video we can realize that this makes no sense with the video.......the dude's not wearing a helmet.

and that does'nt look like a hard suit...

Ok a helmet has nothing to do with ME. Even if it was wearing a helmet doesn't mean its ME. ITs just the gun says a lot. Kind of like the trialers that came out for ME 2 when it first hit. They took those high res images from them first.

Unless the character is near one of those hot springs (if you mean temperature), plus Shepard and the team don't wear helmets (or even breathers) during N7: Abandoned Mine, which would suggest that the atmosphere is breathable.

So yeah, still sticking with Aequitas.

This month's Gameinformer magazine will have a cool new article with a ton of new Mass Effect 2 information. Pick up your copy and be the first to learn new details about planetary exploration, the interior of the new Normandy, the weapons locker, the fish tank and much more. Pick up your copy to get all the details. Look for this cover on store shelves.

This is under the Magazine cover of Gameinformer with Dead space 2 picture.

Intriguing Bioware... very intriguing... My money is on something Mass Effect related as well.

I wouldn't worry that the guy isn't wearing a helmet nor appears to be wearing a hardsuit. Remember, your squadmates in ME2 didn't really wear hardsuits like Shepard did. To me, the guy in the picture looks like he's wearing something similar to Jacob's suit, just different detailing and such.

Going with a multiplayer shooter ME spin off set in the gap between ME2 and 3 (by the time this comes out we'll of had more bridging DLC anyway) that potentially sets up some events from the third game.

We don't know how long the time gap between 2 and 3 will be anyway, and this could easily be like the Jacob Iphone game before ME2 but on a much grander scale (introducing some new characters and events for the next big game).

I like the Aequitas idea, although it would certainly be a surprising choice of setting considering what we know about it (that there is nothing overly exciting about the place).

helmet was meant in the sense the clues and video don't link cos if it's linked to aequitas then why is there a city? and how is he breathing the atmosphere? or lack there of?

I don't see a "city."  And see my above post:  Shepard and his team didn't use breathers or helmets during N7: Abandoned Mine (there is a video link).  The atmosphere is breathable.

What's your point?  Because it's cold most everywhere (except the thermal vents on the poles) it can't have an atmosphere?  It has 1.6G, which can sustain an atmosphere as far as I understand.

Furthermore, there is no evidence that the VIDEO and the CLUES must be pointing towards the SAME PLACE.

The clues are pointing to Aequitas.  The video could be taking place on another planet.   The only reason I cite the video at all is for the Incisor rifle.

I see where your coming from on that point of view. It might be a planet with prothean tech kind of like feros. They had a lots of ruins on it. I just can't think of one right now.

There's a pic in the other thread that pretty much confirms that is an Incisor.

It's ME3, or it is a companion game.

Btw, Vostok means ''East'' in russian.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but ...

55.845 for longiitude and latitude gives you Eastern Russia
55.8, -128.5 gives you Swan Lake Canada, not close to Edmonton at all

Edit:
but Bioware does sci-fi and fantasy so i don't think Russia will help much here

That doesn't look like a city to me. It looks like a bridge or path leading to the entrance of the building the character is standing in, leading to a kind of walled structure. I dispute that it could be easily labeled a city.

In any case, there is no reason to suspect that the video and the clues are pointing towards the same place. I only cite the video as evidence it takes place in the Mass Effect universe due to the Incisor. These points are not in conflict.

Thank you that is awesome. Yeah, but we can also assume the story has something to do with an assassin. AT least thats what it looked like in the video.
