Is anyone worried about lack of "official" gameplay footage?

Is anyone getting concerned about the lack of real, official gameplay footage?
Yes, we've had 2 trailers ( one a CG movie, the other showing some gameplay ). And, yes, there have been leaked videos of the demo gameplay.
But, it's already the middle of November, with the Holiday season fast approaching, and we have yet to actually see the game in action.
In comparison, take a game like Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. This game will come out in February 2011, just a month earlier than DA2.
Yet, there have been a ton of actual gameplay videos of MVC3, going all the way back to June. There have been videos of gameplay at conventions. And, everytime a new character is revealed, they release a short gameplay trailer for that character.
IOW, with a game like MVC3, we actually get to see the game in action. And we can start forming opinions about whether we want to buy and play the game or not.
With DA2, we really haven't seen the game in action. We have to hunt for leaked ( usually average-to-poor quality ), shakey cam footage from the convention demos. Or else read short articles and previews here and there..........
Is anyone getting concerned?
Perhaps DA2 won't be ready in time for a March release.........and if they do release it in March, maybe it will feel rushed...........

I mean, what counts as "gameplay" footage? Twenty minutes of them running around in circles attacking stuff? I expect to see maybe a dev diary, but I'm not worried.

Like, maybe a short gameplay trailer for each class, highlighting the different combat styles for each..........

Bioware doesn't really release gameplay videos. Just like they don't release demos. I think an ME2 demo was the first demo they ever released.
I vaguely remember Baldur's Gate I had a demo release with the first two chapters.

That's too old for me. Wasn't really even a gamer until circa NWN. But fair enough.

Thats not very common for most games, which will have some gameplay videos out not too long after announcing. Even going off of past BioWare games, ME2 had gameplay video at E3, DAO had plenty of gameplay in October 2008 when it was scheduled for March 09 release and most other games slated to come out in the same time frame as DA2 next year have gameplay videos out.
It makes me think that they are in total crunch mode now though and rushing to get the game done, as they no doubt need to have content locked well before March. And likely only want to show the game off on the internet when they know what will be in the final version, which given the short dev cycle, they'll probably end up making last minute cuts if they're trying to push this out in March.
Thats what worries me- the game being rushed and corners being cut and QA lacking, all in the rush to meet the deadline.

Also remember a 20 min Awakening live demo with some of the bioware staff at 2am (uk time) 2-3 weeks before that came out, with Ferret A Baudoin taking questions, and talking about the change to the companion speech set up on a stream video.
This is a first time in a while that info been very thin on the ground since Mass Effect, it's why i said in my first post about not worried about something i know very little about.

I wouldn't say I'm worried but the whole "Lets announce the game and then go out of our way not to show it on the internet" for months on end is odd. That just gets more to their marketing than anything. The game is coming out in about 3.5 months and we have yet to see any "official" gameplay videos at all.

and speaking of ME2, if I recall, it was around this time last year when they were releasing the gameplay trailer for each class ( like the Vanguard Trailer, Biotic Trailer, etc. ) along with a good description for each class.
And ME2 was scheduled for a January 2010 release, wasn't it?
So, hopefully, by December or January, we will start seeing something similar for DA2..........

But aren't you excited?!! Those cuts will be sold to us for 5-7 dollars a go a few months after release! It'll be like you got the whole game!

Meh, I'd rather see them spend zots on the game and not on demos. Polish game, release some polished video, and I'm good with that. Unpolished demos often net negative "reviews" anyway, despite the fact that they are instructed that the views they are seeing aren't of the final product...
I agree, however, if you remember someone from bioware stupidly saying about wanting a 10 mill unit sold target, can't remember who posted it so sorry if i can't prove it if you don't know about it
While i am a fan of bioware work, i don't buy just because of it's name on the tin so to speek, Awakening and Mass Effect 2 left a very cold place in my heart for biowares work, and found other things that are better, i'm just waiting for that something from bioware to warm me to them again.
