Yeah, but before a game comes out it usually is announced. So ME3 being announced, while not necessarily supplying us with new information, does bring us a step closer to actually playing it. Which is why I choose to hope that it is ME3 which will be announced.

I'm hoping for a ME spin-off, it doesn't quite look like ME3 imo, and as others said, why make such a big deal out of a game we already know has been planned from the start.. Either way, it's BioWare I'm sure it'll be cool. Although I don't see much point to a new shooter-based IP. But we'll see.

My money's on a multiplayer shooter set in the First Contact War.

perhaps (just putting this out there) Mass Effect will be going multiplayer (battlefield 2/modern warfare 2 style) as they did recently take on a multiplayer role for this franchise, and have befor said it would be difficult for them to bundle such a feature within the main Sheperd Trilogy.



Would allow them to fiddle classes etc for multiplayer, without ruining single player classes (much like World of Warcraft killed their raid classes due to arena pvp)



Just a wild ass guess, but I would be very interested in a good 3rd person multiplayer lol

I know ME3 will get an announcement. But my point is, if this is for ME3 why make it so vague. The announcement for ME2 wasn't so vague that you weren't sure that it was ME2. It was pretty obvious that it was for ME2.

Same, the only 3rd person cover shooter multiplayer we have on PC is Gears 1 and while that is a fantastic game not many people play it anymore.

as its an incisor, whatever it is, must be set during the same period as commander sheperds adventures, as the history of the rifle is that it is a new breed of sniper rifle, just arrived to the market as they say.



if its going to be a war game, fps/third person shooter, that might explain some of the wierd cerberus network news updates about private wars and gurilla warfare going on down on some planet.



i rly cant see it being FPS, as I dont see how biotics would look/work in a fps enviroment, 3rd person i could.

Maybe it will be a downloadable title and the protagonist will join Shepard's squad in ME3 and have to fend off the terrifying advances of Female Shepard.

if it's any kind of multi-player, I'll complain.  <_<  There are just not enough single player - GOOD - single player games out there.

No, that's not true at all. I'm not sure which platform you use but I can find plenty of worthwhile singleplayer games on PS3 and 360.

If anything, I think there aren't enough good MP games.
