I posted this question in the general forum with no valid responses yet, so I'm posting the question here since this forum is geared more for strategy...


My first play through I switched to nightmare level about midgame. I had
a mage and even on nightmare the game wasn't that bad. (Had to reload a
couple times when I realized i entered an area too quickly.)

This
time around I'm starting on Nightmare at Lothering. (I hate the very
beginning since I've done it a few times for starting out some different
toons so I just play that on easy to get it over with.)

I managed
to get by Lothering on Nightmare (with a full party not solo.) Now I'm
trying to get Shale and I'm at the part where I want to fight "Kitty" in
the dungeon. She spawns a bunch of fire wraiths and there doesn't seem
to be an area to back up to. How the heck do I clear this on Nightmare
(minus maybe purchasing a ton of heal pots and warm balms first.)  (I'm
around level 7 i think can't recall right now.) I can't seem to complete
it with me(rogue), leliana, morgain, and alastair. [I can't imagine
solo.. I'd love to see a vid of it.]

Have Morrigan use cold spells on the fire wraiths. If you happen to have an ice bomb that would also help. Try to knock down the desire demon as soon as possible (shield bash, pommel strick, overpower, etc.) so that it doesn't knock down your party with the cursed dance spell.



It's a tough fight at level 7 on nightmare, but it is doable.
