I remember a mod for a bioware game.Ppl complained because you could not play with a third person shooter perspective.
When i picked target i just zoomed a bit away and target my target .. Zooming all the way out felt like moving chess piece .. Immersion breaker.
i prefeer cool looking roof and wall .. Over a super zoom.

What's the reasoning behind this ??? In DAO on the ps3 you just had to set L2 to hold, not toggle, and you could stack commands. Why even let the player pause the action and do anything at all then ? Just turn it into a full fledged action game, why don't you ?
Not all console players want to button mash godammit !!

Absolutely. But then again BioWare tells us they had to tone down the difficulty to cater all those reckless players who were running headfirst into combat, completely ignoring the tactical options and apparently playing the game like Diablo or some other hack'n'slash. The DA games are not for everyone, so don't try to make them, BioWare!

Well maybe they aren't lying, but they're being extremely intentionaly vague, and morons like you still beilive that PC gamers will get some kind of strategic superior versions.
Calling me and other people morons? Nice - I love this.

Isn't that what different difficulty levels are for ? In DAO if you wanted to play without pausing and ignore the tactical part of the game, you could lower it down to casual, and play like that.TM13h wrote...

Or if you wanted to play tactically and pause often, giving orders/positioning party members, kinda turning it into a semi-turn based game, you could jack it up to nightmare and play like that.
I understand them wanting to appeal to more ppl, but they need to keep the old school rpg fans happy too. Stacking commands is important, and there's no reason for it not to be in !!!!
They can please all of us easily !!

"On the console or PC version you can stop the action, transfer from
character to character, assigning their one next move (you can't stack
commands)."
This is exactly like DAO.

What they mean is you can't bring up the radial menu, select arrow of slaying, critcal shot and then scattershot then exit the radial menu and have your character then perform all three actions one after another. In other words exactly the same as in Origins.

No, it's not. Read my post again, and try it if you have the console version. You CAN stack commands on the ps3 version.
Then the PS3 version is unique. On the 360 you can assign one action to each character and then unpause and have them all perform their task. There is no way to assign more than one command ahead of time per character.

Really ? I thought they meant that you couldn't pause and give separate party members orders without it un-pausing every time. If that's the case, that's great news. Why are ppl complaining so much about it being an action game, if we can still play it tactically then ? I haven't researched DA2 much yet myself. I did hear that they changed the conversation system and that it's gonna not be as long either.
The question is... Why play it in a tactical way when "quote" You can just button mash your way past mobs "/quote".

yes, you can try to play it like a hack and slasher like someone tried in one of the leaked videos. only thing is...that got his party killed and that was in a demo with the difficulty set on easy.

I don't understand why people keep saying you're going to be button-mashing, both on the PC and on the console. There are still cooldowns for your abilities, and you don't even have to "button mash". I believe they've said that both the PC and Console versions retain auto-attack (though it is more prevalent in the PC version, which I understand.)KalDurenik wrote...
I dont get this... All the previews seem to say "its a hack and slash"... So why do we need a isometric / tactical camera? So that we should feel like its still some kind of tactic left in the game?
The moment people notice that if you press 1 or 2 over and over again or "X" to just "button mash past the trash to get to the next story part" then its kinda pointless to add a camera that 90% of the people wont use right?
DAO had "some" tactics and requirement to think mainly because you could not just "button mash" sadly it looks like instead of adding a "responsive combat with tactics" they made it a "responsive hack and slash".

Bioware lied to you? So what? They lied about the DA:O DLC support too. Deal with it, people lie, the world isn't fair, and not everything turns out as planned.
I guess BioWare also lied about the original release date of Origins, too.

Dumb people are everywhere, please don't think its platform exclusive.
No offense to all the people who have passionate claims about Bioware gameplay. And, no offense to Bioware devs.
Bioware games, to me, are interactive movies. Its why I play them dozens of times and for years after they come out. I don't play Dragon Age or Mass Effect or KOTOR for the gameplay. I am playing Bioware games exclusively for the story and characters and cinematics.
Now, this is not to sound like a jerk, but every Bioware game I have played has always been TOO easy. Even on their hardest difficulties, Bioware games are a good bit easier than most gameplay-driven games. So while this is just a personal opinion, I think people arguing over gameplay, which I consider to be a very minimal part of Bioware games, seems inconsequential. I would rather Bioware focus on giving me a new Revan twist, or a Sun Li shocker than a big gameplay revamp like ME2 got.

Yeah but in my eyes when i say "dumb it down" i mean in the way of tech, gameplay due to the limitations of a console in general (they are limited). Im not saying console people are stupid or anything. Just look into pvp at wow... Everytime i pvp there i think my IQ drop over how bad and idiotic people are.
