Anderson was a Spectre candidate at one point, after all. He may have slowed and might not be completely up to speed, but he did have his time doing missions in Alliance special ops.

As long as he doesn't order a marine named Ramirez to defend Burger Town, I'll be on-board.

I'm relatively confident that Anderson will be a squadmate in ME3.

He's not that old (no older then Zaeed), has military experience, was selected to be a spectre and is loyal to Shepard regardless of alignment.

I'd prefer Kai Leng, but meh, eithers good.

Anderson is an Admiral. He's worked with Shepard closely, and is working on fighting the Reaper threat.

I think that's good enough...

I\\Anderson as squad mate wouldn't feel right. He is Shepards Mentor all along. Suddenly being under Sheps command doesn't befit his character. I'd rather have him as an important NPC.

And if Kai Leng features in ME3 in any way, I demand the option to shoot him. I hated that guy (which actually is a compliment to Drews writing).

Every comic and book that comes out has Udina the "Councilor"....why exactly??? these are things you should avoid saying because it makes our choices seem pointless...you can't just say Anderson or Udina without a title? I mean what the frick man?

Yeah, I'm with you man. That pisses me off.I would just choose Udina
as ambassador on my next play through, but if you do that you can't get
your specter status back. Yes the specter status matters, If you don't
think it doesn't you haven't seen Shepard use it while interrogating
Kellam. I'm not going to give any thing away, but it matters.

What single male person are you directing this at?

I mean, who is the "man" at the end of that?

Who are you heaping the blame onto?

In America in the past racist people would call a black man "boy" So, in the 1920's black men started calling each other "man" in kind of a rebelious responce. Since then it has become anaphorism.

Ok, so does Udina being a councilor invalidate your gameplay experience or your story in any way? Because in your game, Anderson is still the councilor, but in ME3 we'll just have to wait and see. And if Anderson is no longer the councilor in ME3, I wouldn't call that a retcon, I would call that character development and exploration. I personally never made Anderson councilor, because I knew he didn't want the job.

At first i dident get it either but after playing through with Anderson as council head, and meeting him it starts to make sense. Anderson cant do the political game and bludgeon through the political bull and games, it seems as much of a backstabber Udina is he does this better, even if he doesnt wanna admit to the reapers being real or a threat.

Also there might be chance Anderson in Canon may play a large role in showdown battle(ME3) aswell, and possible die a heroic death there as the finishing touch to his storyline.

I could see Anderson being part of Shepards crew, just not in a go-on-missions sense. I see him more as a support role analysing intel, planning ops and acquiring useful items and info from contacts in the Alliance.

Keep in mind that any inability on Anderson's part is how he is written, just as Shepard's inability to do anything other than shout 'OMG, REAPERS!' is how Shepard is written. Neither had to be written as political idiots. Anderson my not be experienced in politics, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be able to learn. What would have been nice would have been if Shepard had an option of saying "I wish you could come with me, but I really need someone I can trust on the Council, and Udina definately is not that man."

In fact, it would have been nice if Shepard could have shown the kind of insight he showed glimpses of in Tali's trial more often.

Shepherd is good at what the writers need Shepherd to be good at to tell whatever story they have in mind at the moment.

The first time I played ME2, on a the-Council's-dead run, I thought the same. But on a the-Council-survives run, I thought Anderson acquitted himself rather well with them.

I'd love the idea of Shep, Anderson and Sanders taking down the illusive man together. Anderson can than take over his base.

I can already hear Kelly Chambers: "Admiral Anderson would like to speak with you in the briefing room Commander." :innocent:

Keep Sanders the hell away from Me3. She makes Jar Jar Binks come of as interesting by comparrison.

I wouldn't go THAT far man....NO ONE is worse then Jar Jar Binks....at least Sanders is good at SOMETHING...Jar Jar on the other hand...isn't...Miss Sanders is VERY good at her job, and would gladly use her help to deal with the Reapers, regardless of her gift for making situations worse then they need to be. But considering she would be working with Shepard there is no such thing as a "bad" situation since he can shoot any situation into a good one LOL.

The best part is, this was about the only plot-related choice that had any meaningful impact on ME2, yet they screwed it up in the subsequent book and comic.

I'm unsure what to think.

I like Udina. He is a prime choice for my ultra Paragon MaleShep. I think he is not as bad as we might think.

Most people only think he's bad because he's not a fangirl of Shepard, and by Shepard I mean the player, and doesn't put Shepard, and by Shepard again I mean the player, ahead of his job.

It boggles the mind that most people pick the wrong man for the job because he's nice to you. Does parastupid shepard have self esteem issues or something?

Udina is a slippery little snake. He would make sure that he would close enough to the top to take advantage of ANY opening, trouble, and/or void in power and work it to his advantage. That's just the kind of bas***d that he is.
