Since one day I'm stuck in Redcliff.
I've made all the preparation I could find (free ale, thugs, candle oil, smith), but still do the walking corps beat the crap out of me.
I manage the first wave at the wind mill quite well, but once I ran down to help the militia I just day due to the endless streams of enemies.

What do I have to do to end the waves of enemies? Or is the some thing I could do to make the battle down there easier?

Please, I'm about to throw my PC though the room (because of that and the Toolset that does not work, it adds up). :(

if your the last man standing i would run to where the knights are and them help you kill them. just make sure the walking dead follow you. might have to make two trips up to them.

Have you tried playing on a lower difficulty setting? If so, and you're playing on 'Easy', and you still can't manage (which is not uncommon, btw), I can only say: try using all the crowd control (paralyze, stun, etc.) you have. Pause a lot to direct every single party member. This, or try doing something else first. The Circle is easier, btw.

The first time I did this I did extremely well.. so well in fact that I only lost two militia members.. so I thought .. well I did so well.. I'll re-play it and see if I can save everyone.. and then all of a sudden it kicked my butt.. I saved absolutely no-one. I re-played and re-played and it kicked my butt every time. I don't know why it was so easy that first time and why it became so hard every time after that. Your right about the bottom being much harder than the top. Having Wynne helped me survive but I don't think I could have done it without her.

If you have an earlier save from before you went to the village I would suggest loading that up and completing some others quests first. You can always just leave the village and come back. It will be destroyed but that is an option.

all the miltia died in mine only way i could do it was have my party stop on the way down the hill as soon as the undead come into view and attack from range when all the militia dies i then run my party back to the knights and then run one party member down again to draw a few more up to the knights and do this until i win.

Wah ... I start to hate BioWare, they did the same in ME. "Hey, you should go there first." says the NPC, but it turns out to be the hardest part, who balances those games? I could do better with a crayon and blindfolded.

I'll later will try the thing with the running up to the knights, but I already tried it once, after 3 corpses the knight stopped attacking enemies and just waved their hands about their victory ... while I was followed by 5 running corpse.

But first I'll have to break something ...

It is kind of challenging, mostly because the engine seems to **** itself. I've never seen a single player game exhibit symptoms of lag but this one manages to do it in large fights. FPS will be fine, but you click a spell and it doesn't activate for 10 seconds, by which time the stuff you had lined up for AoE has moved. It's aggravating.

Greg the Mad, I had the same experience as you. There was only one of my party left alive but we had beaten all the corpses at the bottom. I went back up the hill with the knights and a few more corpse came through the pass. We took care of those and they finally stopped coming through. I was waiting for the battle to be over and the remainder of my party to regenerate but it wasn’t happening. I went back down to the bottom and found more corpses had entered the scene. I had them follow me back up to the knights and together we finished them off. I made about 15 more trips back down to bring up more corpses and they just kept appearing with no end in sight. I finally just let myself be killed just to get out of the battle. I went back into the game at an earlier save and preceded to do other quests. I haven’t been back to Redcliff yet, but it appeared to be an endless loop glitch that I hope is not permanent. When I go back I guess I’ll find out.
