I wanted to edit my existing project and assign my group to it. The group was created a few days later than the project. So I edited my project, but in the project's properties in the pulldown-list for "Associating Groups" there is only one of the groups listed that I belong to, but not my own group.
It seems to be not possible to assign my group to my project yet.

Also the long version of the project text is not showing up somewhere, only the short form.

Edit: And the uploaded photo is not being resized, the photo is shown correctly on the editing page and in the project's page itself, but only the middle of the photo is shown as icon within the project list.

Try changing the Group Category.

I noticed that your group is set up in the General Group Category which I believe is why you cannot assign projects to it. Edit your group and change the Group Category to Builder Groups. This will reveal a second drop down list from which you can select DA Builder Group. Then you should be able to assign projects regardless of age.
