I'm hoping for a step-by-step guide to create an item that will teleport the player to a map, than back to the original area again.
I've searched the threads here and found this one,
http://social.biowar...1/index/1046479
but I'm a noob to scripting, so I had a hard time following, hence the request.
I imagine that the task may be too advanced for a noob such as myself to acomplish, but I figured it woudn't hurt to ask.

Is it area transition or jump-to-point within an area (like in the fade when freeing Connor), you need?

The thread you quoted has all the elements you need, it just doesn't have the finished script.
In essence, you create an invisible placeable at the current location, store the area and the nearest waypoint, then do an area transition to the new area-waypoint.
To reverse the process, you do an area transition to the stored waypoint, then jump to the invisible placeable's location and destroy it for good order.
It works this way because it's only possible to do an area transition to a waypoint.

Okay, sounds simple enough.
Thanks for breaking it down for me.
