Shamelessly stolen off the ME board. Her is where you can list characters you dislike and why you dislike them.

Rules: 

1. Respect people's opinions even if they don't agree with your own!

2. Keep the insulting of actual people (not pixels) out of it! If you can't refrain from insulting someone I'll report you. With enough offenses from various people I will ask to have the thread closed.

3. If you're quoting someone who quoted you there's no need to keep your quotes unless you're making a point involving them. Show some common courtsey and keep your posts neat.

4. Do try to keep the debates civil. Yes I realize I've said that already twice but...

Now Characters I dislike.

1. Morrigan: She is extremely arrogant and in my view childish. I find it neither cute nor endearing. She also seems to believe everyone should be self-reliant except herself apparently.

2. Zevran: I find him to be well...creepy to say the least. His almost rape of the mage isn't a score in his favor either. The enjoyment he claims to find in killing and his harassment of Wynn (even if she is annoying) are also quite irritating to me. As well as the fact that his desire for death ends up causing the PC to be endangered.

3. Wynne: Arrogant preachy and short minded. There is very little I can see about this woman that I actually like. She thinks she knows all about the Grey Wardens yet doesn't realize they recruited criminals and were willing to do anything to get the job done.

characters I dislike:



1. Alistair. His constant harping on Duncan is very annoying to me. I get he had a bad childhood, I get that he connected with Duncan. But every PC also had a petty big shock in their life - and Ali doesn't seem to get that. Also, his hissy fit if you spare Loghain really drives me crazy - and I can't stand Loghain.



2. Wynne. Preachy. Judgmental. An overbearing grandmother - and I grew up with them, so it pisses me off.



3. Loghain. (should be first on my list). Paranoid, Scheming. Or just plain incompetant. Poisons nobles, sells elves into slavery, tries to force his illegal and terrible rule on people, then starts a war with them when they refuse. Worst thing for Ferelden is him having power - he grabs it with both hands, then basically gives it away to Howe. He dismisses the right of the Landsmeet to judge him, does everything he can to discredit the PC, then suddenly has a change of heart because you beat him up?

2- Cammen: everything that is wrong with the elves is embodied in him.
3- Cailan and Cammen's nightmarish offspring: I am scarred.

Sorry if I am not being too serious btw (though truly Cailan and Cammen are the only two I dislike).

You don't have to be serious! I want this to be aplace of fun where you can vent out your frustrations.

Though...lol  @ Cammen. I forgot how horrific he looked unmodded when I reinstalled DA. Was like something out of a horror movie.

Oghren: A lot of people find him funny but in my opinion he is quite annoying. Makes me a little sad considering how much I love dwarves and the only dwarf party member I don't like. =/

1- Wynne: Ignoring the blood mage confrontation I simply find her annoying (and hypocritical). But taking into account that confrontation, I despise her.
2- Marjolaine: Do I need to explain it?
3- Cammen: What KoP said.
4- Bhelen: He may be what's good for the dwarve's future, but he's still a bastard who I can't stand.
5- Mithra and Sarel: I know they have their reasons to be hostile to outsiders, but it doesn't make them any less annoying.

Maybe some day you'll let me travel from A to B without running into you whilst you hawk your junk. No, I don't want fine weapons and armour, dwarven made. Maker's breath, I will run this sword right through you some day, I swear.

1. Zathrian. True to form with classic roleplay, I brought my Dalish to the forest, anticipating I'd end up slaughtering the werewolves, but my elf felt betrayed by this guy, who would DARE to lie to his people and claim eternal life. Shame on Zathrian.



2. Caradin. 99 percent of DAO's voice acting is cinematic. Caradin sounded like the big faceless entity guy from the Power Rangers.



3. Howe. He's Howe.

My dislike is more reserved to characters I find iredeemable.



1 - Rendon Howe - Traitorous, manipulative, backstabbing, slimy evil bastard. Likes torture.

2 - Vaughan - Less ambitious bastard who enjoys kidnapping and rape, and has no qualms about killing his victims.

Crap, I forgot Vaughn and Howe! I guess I was focusing on characters that weren't universally hated (well, Cammen is).



Vaughn and Howe would rank at the top of my most hated characters really. Not sure who would be number one though, they're both scum.

Loghain - Maybe if I read the novels I'd find something to like about the guy, but he just comes off as a cowardly, bigoted opportunist in game. For some legendary war hero he doesn't seem to be much of a fighter either. The final duel was one of the most anti-climactic fights to me.



Cammen- no explanation needed.



Unhardened Alistair- Annoying and too easily swayed imo. Hardened he's a lot more tolerable.

You guys realize this thread is just asking for arguments, right? There won't be any sort of civil discussion, either just an idle list that's not particularly constructive or interesting or--as you seem to be going for by needling this guy (troll though he's been fingered as elsewhere)--one big conflagration of "You're wrong for disliking my LI! You're bad and you should feel bad!"
