No I wasn't trying to bash you or anything honestly! I just was wondeing what was possessive because I never felt that way.

1. R. Howe - He stabs my family in the back and then even dares to mock them in front of my face. Grrr... Let's just say, I would have done much worse to this smug snake than the game allowed.



2. Marjolaine - Nobody screws with Leli like that and lives. Nobody. She had an annoying voice as well.



3. Vaughan - Annoying little elf-raping ******. Stupid enough to insult elves in front of a Warden holding the key to his cell. Especially if the Warden is an elf.



4. Loghain - No matter how many people defend him after the fiasco at Ostagar, and no matter how great of a general he is, and NO matter his reasons for doing what he did, he will always be the guy that f*cked up Ferelden in my eyes. Then he dares to besmirch the good names of the ONLY people who try to really save Ferelden. Not to mention trying to kill them as well. A big no no in my book.



5. The entire village of Haven - I really hate dealing with crazy zealots. That and my ears are bleeding every time Kolgrim opens his mouth. The whole mountain probably shakes.



6. Wynne - I don't really hate her, but boy, is she sometimes driving me up the walls with her preachiness. Easily my least favorite companion. Even Velanna towers above her.



7. Vartag "Karl Urban" Gavorn - Makes me wanna hug Bhelen.

Funny that you mention Velanna. I used to hate her but I'm going through Awakening right now with a character that if romances were available, would go for a Velanna romance. For some reason, this has totally changed my views on her.

It also helps that I'm using a different morph for her (if I'm imagining a romance between them I have to change that face!).

Haha that's why I love Howe.  He's such a little turd, I kinda love to hate him.  I mean he tortures and kills Mother Mallol! 
He's got to be in the running for most evil DA character of all time. 

Oh also I forgot to list Vaughn. Douche-level over 9000.

I used to dislike her too, but ever since I played trough Awakening as my mage and dragged her everywhere with me, she's grown on me. I'd romance Justice though. Yeah, I know...

1). Wynne - preachy schoolmarm is correct. She talks down to the Warden even if that character is a dwarf or human noble who has had duty drummed into them from a young age. She tries to impress upon them the importance of being a warden even though she has no knowledge of being a warden herself, to the extent that she tries to break up your romance (her diatribe against Zevran is particularly vile). And for a mage, she is most hypocritical of all, first saying you need to do your warden stuff but then suggesting you return to the Circle to be First Enchanter (a role she herself turned down). Oh and she aslo suggests Aneirin return, despite the fact he's perfectly happy being a Dalish. Cow.



2). Eamon. Interfering bastard. Makes a power grab through Alistair, a boy he was supposed to raise but then cast aside because his Orlesian **** wife didn't like it. He looks down upon Anora because she is not of royal blood even though she is a capable queen and respected even by Empress Celene - even if you arrange a marriage between Anora and Alistair, he's not really happy. If there was an option to put a pillow over his face instead of going for the ashes, I'd take it in a heartbeat.



3) Isolde. Chantry addled cow. I get that she's scared about Connor but that's no excuse for dooming an entire village for it. But more than that, her treatment of Alistair, her attitude when you first meet her and that infernal accent. She dies whenever possible.



4) Alistair. Yes, his self-deprecating humour can be quite charming and I understand why his upbringing has made him as he is, but there are at least two origins who had worse upbringings, and the fact he harps on and on about a guy he's known six months when a Cousland has just lost his entire family or a City Elf has just had their fiance slaughtered in front of them and their cousin raped, really just wants to bang my head against the desk. And don't get me started on his Landsmeet rant, if you recruit Loghain. Alistair is not a horrible person but by god is he self absorbed. He's the only character I've not managed to romance happily until the end of the game, and as a straight woman, that's quite a feat.



5) Marjolaine. Horrible, horrible accent, self centred and a user. Dies every time.



6) Sarel and Mithra. As mentioned before, yes, I get that you don't care for "Shem" but we're trying to help here. Annoying as Cammen might be, he's pretty harmless. These two, though, are a royal pain in the derriere.



7) Oghren. After all you do for him in Origins, he learns nothing. Deadbeat dad. And a foul, belching, alcoholic deadbeat dad at that.



8) Velanna. I have taken her through Awakening to the end a few times now and whilst she mellows slightly, she never regrets slaughtering the merchants and her lines to the injured warden you find in the Silverite mine is cold as hell. I usually kill her these days.



I actually can't really hate the big baddies like Howe, Caladrius and Vaughan. I put them down as they deserve but whilst they've obviously done heinous things, they don't irritate me the way some of the others do. Some of the dialogue is pretty damned amusing, actually.

Yeah, I think that's part of the reason I didn't include them in my original list. While I consider Vaughn and Howe to be the most horrible persons in the whole game (followed by Marjolaine), they feature so little in the game that I hardly have a chance to get annoyed by them.

Ok, that's a lie, Vaughn's interference (blessing in disguise as it might have been for my CE who didn't want to get married), does annoy me to high heaven. But since he dies pretty quickly, he's kind of forgotten through the rest of the game, so the annoying factor kind of wears down a bit.

Anyway, the characters I do not like:

Vaughan: A racist and a rapist. Despicable.

Isolde: Selfish hypocrite. Risks the lives of hundreds because she doesn't want her son to go to the Tower, yet forces Eamon to send Alistair to the Chantry.

Eamon: He uses and manipulates both the Warden and Alistair to pull a coup to sate his ambition. He even admits that if Alistair won't become king, he'll have to support Loghain. Until he could use him to further his agenda, Eamon neglected Alistair to please his petty, paranoid wife. His benevolent guardian act doesn't fool me and I never do as he asks.

Kolgrim: I am religious myself. But fanatics like him make me shudder.

Arl Rendon Howe : Despicable through and through. Were it not for Tim Curry's epic VO....

Wynne: Preachy, self-absorbed meddler who knows not half as much as she thinks she does. RTO was worth it to have Loghain tell her to STFU as only he can.

Not really the rapist himself isn't the act of rape. He could think Vaughn's arrogance and "I don't care what you think of me" demeanor is fine and frankly I don't find that offensive. Vaughn's a creep. I honestly wish he had been a better written creep because rapists aren't one diminsional carictures. I couldn't help but yawn when hewas laughing that horrible supervillian laugh during the origin. I see why people get upset but I was so ...  Really? by the cheesiness of his lines that a lot of the impact was lost on me.

That was his creation, under a different username (he has like twenty accounts, most of them banned). He has also been IP banned but I guess he uses a proxy to circumvent the bans.

Personally, I do find it offensive to say that someone who acts like Vaughn is cool. It's one thing to say that a "I don't give a f' what you think of me!" character is cool, but all Vaughn does in the game is kidnap a bunch of women, rape them, and make racists comments. So to me, saying that a character who laughs while sporting a "I don't care what you think of me and I'll get away doing those things" attitude is cool, is offensive.

But really, when it comes to that user, it's better to ignore him. It can be a bit hard though.

i cant like a character that noone likes without getting flamed, rape is not cool, but the guy knows how to exploit his power.

im pretty sure also he will be voicing male hawke.

Huh. I don't see it as such. Then again I couldn't take Vaughn seriously due to the hamfisted way BioWare wrote him. That said it is personal taste.



...I hope not. If everytime Hawke opens his mouth I think of Vaughn I'll cry.
