So you dislike him, even though you act like him?ok go wrote...
I couldn't stand oghren, he acted like a womanizer when both Lel and Morrigan found him disgusting. I can seriously see why his wife left him for another woman.
Okie Dokie.

I loved the dialouge a friend gets at the gate talks with him at friendly approval.Skadi_the_Evil_Elf wrote...
Oghren was fine in Origins, I really liked him, belching and all. But I was hoping for some sort of character evolution in Awakenings, instead of the entire focus of him being a smelly deadbeat dad drunk.
I wish I could upload the pics, but my net is one giant flustercuck today.

I have it somewhere. It's my second favorite goodbye convo at the gates. It would have been outstanding if they took THAT Oghren, imported him into Awakenings, and further developed his character in a more three dimensional way.

YES!
Since I only play Awakening with Orlesian Wardens (I don't like to import my Origins warden since the role is OOC for her), I like to imagine that Oghren was never really "fixed", hence why my Orlesian has to deal with that bumbling fool.

Oghren at The Pearl is epically awesome, no matter who or what you do. Like, being a female and renting a female worker, and Oghren's "Whoops, wrong room".
And then when he starts ranting about Branka being a lesbian, and as he starts thinking about them rolling and licking.....yeah. Oghren's rather grotesque behavior in Origins was endearing, because there was more to it than drunken rantings, and could see other parts of Oghren show up in different places.

Alistair is too whiny and throws a tantrum when I spared Loghain.
Wynne is a typical Chantry tool who thinks she knows everything, however she was a valuable party member.
Bhelen is complete tyrant but I like his progressive policies so I always support him because Harrowmont is a tool.
Oghren, I liked him in Origins but in Awakenings he was nothing more than a drunken deadbeat father who acted like a five year old. Yet he became a Warden?!?
Old Tegrin, I wish I could kill him.
Ser Cauthrien, a boneheaded idiot who died for calling me a Churl.
Brother Genitivi who wanted to share the news of the ashes of Andraste, unfortunately my Warden felt that as a tool of the Chantry he would help further solidify it's hold over the peoples of Thedas so he met Mr. Murderknife.

Arl Howe: I hate this rotten bastard about as much as I hate Joffrey Lannister (any ASOIAF or Game of Thrones fans will know exactly what I mean). He truly does deserve more - it's a shame I wasn't able to give to him. Still, I always enjoy having my faithful Mabari walk up to his corpse and "relieve himself on an inconspicuous area nearby" after I slay him with the Cousland family blade.
EDIT: After playing through Paragon of Her Kind again and giving it some thought, I hereby take back everything I said about Branka.
Vaughan: Nothing gave me more satisfaction in this game than decapitating this pig with my female City Elf (well, other than killing Arl Howe as a Cousland, of course). That'll teach you to mess with us "knife-ears", you scum!
Harrowmont: I can't believe I was actually stupid enough to side with this coward on my first playthrough. I let my run through the DN origin cloud my judgment, I suppose. But never again will I crown this man king - he fails harder than any other character in the game (including Cammen).
Cammen: Speak of the devil - this little runt is just pathetic. Besides being uglier than a pug, he hasn't even been able to take down a single animal in two years of apprenticeship. How is that even possible? Which leads me to...
Gheyna: What could she possibly see in that pathetic excuse for a hunter? Surely she is too good for him. She needs a man of the world - someone like me. *takes her some place more private*
Keili: She's a rambling, suicidal, religious loony who was one of the few survivors of the Circle Tower incident. How unfortunate. <_<
Vartag Gavorn: You know, I actually like Bhelen. I admire his ability to play the game, and I also respect what he does for Orzammar. But taking this little worm in as his second almost makes me wish Harrowmont was a better king. Seriously, he wants my Warden's support - yet he's a terrible liar, and acts like a complete ****** to the Warden. Bang-up job selling me on siding with your prince, you worm.
Jowan: It's not even that I hate him - it's just how flat-out stupid he is. He's like King Cailan, if Cailan were a second-rate blood mage with a voice that sounds like two pieces of styrofoam being rubbed together. Which leads me to...
King Cailan: Why did I ever respect this fool in the first place? He's like the Harrowmont of Ferelden, except braver (stupidly so) and infinitely more vacuous. I really can't blame Loghain for leaving this imbecile to die - he doesn't deserve to be king. He's also a traitor - he was actually going to leave Anora for the Orlesian Empress. Suddenly, it becomes all too clear why Loghain betrayed him. FAIL.
Everyone in Lothering: What the hell are you people doing?! GET OUT OF THERE!!!
There are more characters I hate - but those are the worst of the lot, I suppose.

Well, to be honest the chantry did a lot of "interpretation" of the whole Andraste/Maker/everyone is a dirty sinner issue.

But seriously I felt pretty strongly that Beraht was a fat loser who got what was coming to him and probably suffered from a case of deep roads impotence.

I'm on my second playthrough and decided to support Bhelen this time around for a change, but Vartag Gavorn is totally pissing me off and makes me want to support Harrowmont again just to spite him. What an ass.greengoron89 wrote...

Anora only betrays only if you straight up tell her you won't support her and you will kill her father, and at Howe's mansion if you inform Cauthrien of her plan when she expressely asked you not to. She is manipulative by nature, yes, but they were predictable reactions.

Oghren: Aye. I've tried twenty-seven different types of ale and learned I'm just the right height to give a human girl a good time. That doesn't make me a good man.
Hilarious.

Anora will also betray you if you tell her that you will support her, but that you believe Loghain can't be spared. She repays the Warden's honesty with a outright lie: "Then that is how it must be. I will always be my father's daughter, but even I know he must pay for his crimes."

i don't like her a single bit, since she is loghain's daughter, and should die like her father to purge the throne.
