if the companion is at nuetral/warm/friendly they are NOT in a romance. If a companion goes from nuetral/interested/adore/love that's the romance levels.

Leliana will trigger her jealousy speech at lower levels than other companions (I think it starts at 50). I think the others all have to be at adore (71+)

Am I weird but this for me was the funnest part of the two romances...I kept them both at "interested but below 50" and then ran to Orzammar with them in group to hit banter points and get their convos.  Morrigan's teasing Alistair about her 'stealing away his favorite warden' was really cute too!

Definitely agree, Morri's comment on the stealing the warden from Alistair made me think of the Scrubs "bromance" for some reason but my personal fave is the one from Leli regarding Morrigan's genlock-like shrieks but yeah, its fun for all when the claws come out.

Regarding jealousy - it triggers when two LIs are at the adore affection level iirc.

Ok, if you flirt with a companion, the romance will most likely turn on. Romance statuses are -25 to 25 (), 26 - 50 (interested), 51 - 70 (care), 71 - 100 (adore), and 91 - 100 (love). The companions are eligible to fall in love or become friendly after you complete their personal quests. You can only have sex with a warden your'e in a romance with, and this is determined by the companion, when you can approach them, and when they will approach you.



here is how jealousy works;



Leliana: 51+ (care) and if your warden has made love to Morrigan or Zevran, or is at Adore with Alistair. She will confront your warden, and you can lie your way out of it, or promise to break up with the other love interest.



All love interests; 71+ (adore) and another love interest also at 71+ (adore). Or love for one or two of them. They will confront you, you will be forced to choose, and expect a massive disapproval from the one you dump (exception being Alistair who you can actually gain approval depending, or lose huge approval). it's not that Alistair doesn't care; it's that Alistair has other issues that weigh heavily on him.

indeed, you can be incredibly nasty to Alistair and lose every point of approval (think laughing in his face when he tried to get close to the PC or just being a complete ****) or you can lose very little to nothing if you are nice to him.

If you break up just right after the Landsmeet you can maintain the "still in love" flag for alternate dialogues later. Plus he will still pull the KillSteal Manuever at the end of the game on your PC.

Only for Morrigan. Zevran and Leliana plot gifts don't even have romance starter lines, and Alistair only gets them if the romance is cut off. However, Morrigan's mirror, the romance is definitely meant to restart there if you tell her it's for a beautiful woman.

Just curious. How many times did you replay DA:O to find all this out?

I started modding last February or March when i was poking through the toolset and saw Zevran bugged at the gates -- I nerdraged for a while here, then took on the toolset. I'm not sure how many times I've played through at this point. Honestly, though, i had a LOT of help. Different people pick up on different bugs.
