Suicide mission wouldn't fit in with a shepard memorial IMO. Would need the Mass Effect Theme, or something brand new to fit the heroic/sad vibe that would be needed to pull off an ending like that. IMO, i really want an ending like that to be optional though, if the only ending is shepard dieing, thats a real cop out.



But my ideal ending is..... Victory, but with casualties. As in you cannot save everyone, but you can choose who you save. That would be awesome.

My favorite ending would be an epic Hero like moment.

Imagine:

You see some closed doors with a Alliance and a Cerberus Logo at each side from first person. The door Opens, you walk forward, past every team member that you had( if they survived that is), they salute you and the camera turns left and you see a view of the Ship you are on, with the Normandy safely docked in a Hangar you can view from above.

Then the Camera changes position and you see Commander Shepard standing on the Bridge of a Mayor Dreadnaught with every team Member he always had behind him looking out the window across the ship. The camera the slowly while picking up speed moves backwards to show the whole ship and the fleet behind it, which consists of a gigantic amount of Starship from every known race.

Then the camera turns around an you see A dark shadow appearing. (this could be a gigantic reaper (maybe the first one ever created) or a new unknown enemy).

Then the screen goes black and you just hear your love interest or Joker (if you did not romance anyone) saying: "Your orders Commander?"

If the Reapers actually won in the end... I'd be happy because it would be really unexpected.

Same, There was this one ending I really liked that a poster said. A pyjak would mess with an Omnitool and its says a message about the Reapers coming in Shepards voice.

Uh...

Most of your squad members in ME1, ME2 and ME3 dying in one heroic assault. Other significant characters like Anderson and Joker could die too.
Shepard survives and retires.

Damn, I got no imagination today. But I prefer an ending that could make me very sad, but not with the Reapers winning, otherwise it would feel like all my playtime and dedication was useless. There should be an ending with the Reapers winning though.

Personally I imagine there being some seriously dramatic scene of Sheperd activating an ancient Prothean Super Gun (planet sized thing, probly actually a planet) then some crazy scenes of said super gun litterally charging up with all the mass relays being used in some awesom cinimatics, then u see the Reaper fleet get owned by the uber gun. Then with humanity saved and the rest of the galaxy, we get the usual tear jerking final of some star wars like medal scene.

To which you would see everyone who has played Mass effect  beforehand explode.

Yay, bittersweet ending ftw.

I'm all in for Shepard to die if the writers are planning to make him/her the Drizz of Mass Effect universe in the future games.

The Normandy and the whole crew (including Shepard and party members) die in one final attack, sacrificing themselves to save everyone else.

Or Shepard gets post-traumatic stress disorder and commits suicide (or maybe I just want him to be Snake)

I definately agree with Rivercurse above no sacrificing of Shepard well not again anyway lol mmmm perfect ending? mmm wow this is a toughie well my perfect ending would probably have to be..The Reapers have been destroyed and we see the Normandy floating silently above a planet, the camera than pans nearer and travels through the window to Shepard looking down at a datapad, he puts the datapad down on the desk and going to his locker he puts on his N7 hardsuit checks his assault and pistol closes his eyes and stands in silence for a moment with his head bowed as if mustering his strength as he walks out of the door Shepard looks back and scowls at the planet below then maybe cut to Shepard walking up to the bridge of the Normandy (much similar to the start of ME) nodding to crew past and present (including Ashley or Kaidan depending on who you saved on Virmire, Wrex, Garrus, Joker etc ) Captain Anderson salutes and Shep salutes back and gives Anderson a silent nod then a brief cut scene of the Normandy landing on an unknown planet and the door opens and theres Shepard and crew guns poised at the ready engaging in a battle with an unknown enemy but tbh that would be at the VERY end of the cutscene we need a conculsion of the romances we had to;) but thats just the soppy side of me that needs fulfilling to lol =)

The will not be a "Reapers winning" ending. That would prevent BW from making spin-offs set after the events of ME3

You know, put the bomb into a "Master Relay" if you will. While everything that happens to the characters in Sunshine also happens to the characters in Mass Effect. Would be epic.

My dream ending would be the option for many divergent endings, each one dependent upon the choices that one has made throughout the series. ;-)
