Gorgeous idea!  Made me think of this .  That one scene sucked me into an otherwise largely unremarkable FPS (although the gravity control was awesome too).

oh i also forgot to mention: i want someone to realize that the technology to beat the reapers already exists. what im thinking of is actually so simple that its been overlooked, in game and by players.

You mean along the lines of War of the Worlds?  I could see something like that.

Honestly, I always wanted to see more of Nihilus and Saren.  I'm entirely against Bioware resurrecting the characters (they're dead and should stay that way), but I'd like to learn more about them.  Saren's character really helped make Mass Effect for me.

Shep can't die as an ending. Any death, aside from a massive explosion, and his/her body is still somewhat salvageable. Cerberus will gladly bring back the galaxy's single greatest hero. So the only way to officially kill him/her is to literally blow him/her to smithereens, literally annihilate all that is Sheperd.



How will feel to the fans? The Hero they created and struggled with for years, defeating any threat that opposed him/her, being blown to bloody bits. S/He also can't live the rest of his days being a tourist, settling down with a LI, or any other mundane, normal ending. S/He is everything but mundane, everything but normal. He can have that life in old age, or die trying. Literally.



My dream ending was mentioned +/- a few words above, the whole captain of a giant warship thing sounded reasonably awesome.

not war of the worlds, but it DOES exploit a fundamental flaw of all inorganic life.

Shepard Survives:  Settling down somewhere, with a LI (or more ), and living a nice long time.

Shepard Dies Saving the Galaxy:  The sort of funeral normally reserved for someone like Churchill

Shepard Dies in Vain: Well, it would be nightmare fuel, perhaps.

Dream ending? Reapers are defeated, but only barely. Casualties are in the billions, only half of Shepard's team remains (if any), and the survivors are left to pick up the pieces and rebuild galactic civilization. I like 'em ambiguous and tragic, but with a little glimmer of hope thrown in.

An ending where Shepard has defeated the reaper with lots of dead and causalities. But ultimately the reapers stopped. Shepard receives a medal and ultimately retires with s/he love interest (if LI is Female, obviously pregnant).

Then credits role. At the end of the credits we get a sign saying something like 20 years later. we hear a news reader in the background reporting on a new massive threat to the galaxy, then we see a random solider running across an alien world hunted by an alien. Solider trips and the Alien advances and just before the alien goes in for the kill we hear a gun shot and it's face explodes. Camera pans to Shepard holding a pistol with an "I'm Back" expression on his face. Cue end game.

Or I'd love to see an anti-climatic ending where we are giving the option of either stopping the reapers and saving the galaxy or saving our love interest.

Baby Shepards?  Inherently creepy.  Baby endings in general?  Laaaaaame.

Just my opinion, though.  You can have your dream ending all you want, but keep it out of my dream ending thank you very much.

Some like the heroic sacrifice ending, but I'd prefer one where I beat all odds and survive and defeat the Reapers, if I may say so myself. And live wit ma romance (Miranda, Liara, Ashley) hehe

As long as there are different endings and not just one, it's all good. I have no problem, as long as there are options.

Well, because I am pretty Renegade, I would prefer to find a way to control the Reapers and use the to enslave/destroy all other species, leaving Humans to rule while the rest of the galaxy crumbles!  MWA HA HA!

A love interest ending with the love interest being pregnant would be about the lamest, sappiest ending I could think of. Of course that is my opinion, but yeah..

My dream ending would involve the scripted and detailed deaths of many of my favorite squadmates, and perhaps even Shepard. These deaths would have to be given a lot more attention than the possible casualties of ME2.

Yeah ok, I know that’s incredibly stupid and overused but I'm sorry I just had to say it. I try not to think about it too much A) because anything I can come up with is stupid. don't want to give myself expectations on how the thing should end  and end up being disappointed because it won't be that.

Shepard and his team make their final move against the Reapers, but the screen fades to dark just Shepard says "Attack!" or something of the sort.

An image appears. We see a green field with some aliens running around in a slouched way and wearing pelts. As they prance round looking for food, one of them sees something glint. He scratches the ground and unearths a rusty plaque that we instantly recognize as part of the normandy. Camera pans out and gives a bird's eye view, revealing a Normandy shaped crater outline. You hear the music from 2001 Space Odyssey. Credits roll.

My dream ME3 ending  ...or not

Alternatively you could have a cosmonaut form another species landing on their moon for the first time, only to discover the remains of the Normandy or a Mass Effect technology cache much like humans did in ME.

I have a few two involve Commander Sheppard as Renegade berating his crew and forcing them off a massive ship like Ascension and flying it in a Reaper queen, followed by a shot of your LI telling you about your father to young child Sheppard. My Paragon has Commander Shepard being rescued at the last minute by his crew and marrying the LI.

that shepard is called captain in mass effect 3, reinstated back into the alliance and lives on Coruscant (making that his home planet).
