A different ending depending on your choices in ME2:

- the one you romance in ME2 dies and you realize that your life will be dedicated only to the salvation of galaxy and the sake of humanity, you'll never have a "normal" life (love, family, children) also because of the many prothean visions that changed your attitude (a kind of Frodo who wears the One Ring too many times and comes out consumed by it).

- if you're a paragon Shepard you defeat th Reapers without using their technology

-if you're a renegade you get corrupted by the power of their technology and, maybe, ally with them becoming another Saren

- if you're a paragade maybe you come to defeat them using their technology but in a less heroic way

- I wouldn't dislike an happy ending with half human - half alien babies running here and there about the Normandy but I realize it would be a little oversentimental

;)

Something I never expected and couldn't have expected if I thought imaginatevely about it, but at the same time it would have to make sense. If I was going to say something, I'd want the Reepers prophecy to come true and the Galaxy as we know it does end.

There should be three endings:

1. The civilizations of the galaxy defeat the Reapers at moderate cost. Shepard and company survive, for the most part. (Happy ending)

2. The Reapers are defeated, but at great cost to the civilizations of the galaxy. It will take generations to rebuild everything that was destroyed. Shepard and/or the rest of his crew do not survive, but are celebrated as heroes, paragons of sacrifice and humility. (Sad ending)

3. Shepard gets corrupted by the Reapers and becomes their agent. The galaxy is anihilated in the process. (Bad ending)

Well if the announcement being made tommorow really is Mass Effect 3 (and there is some good evidence to say it is) then it looks like the fight with the Reaper's is not going to a walk in the park. There is going to be lots of doom, lots of death, and i actually want lots of companion death as this would make for a very moving ending to the series.

I'd like to see Shepherd becoming a reaper-killer (i.e. a reaper, only retaining his human memories/qualities) and take on the entire reaper fleet but ultimately sacrifices himself to save the Normandy and the rest of the galaxy.

Personally I imagine there being some seriously dramatic scene of Sheperd activating an ancient Prothean Super Gun (planet sized thing, probly actually a planet)

I want there to a long dramatic battle with a solid amount of reapers with alot of death, with shepard and crew going 1 v.s. 1 with the reaper general. Then, when Shepard is about to deliver the final blow, the reaper says " The cycle can't be stopped," and a thousand Reavers appear out of nowhere.

Shepard says..." Oh ****" credits

I think a good ending would be Shepard and his allies doing the impossible, holding off the Reapers attack on Earth (or whereever), but the war is not over. In order to take down the reapers once and for all, Shepard and his crew use an experimental ship that doesn't need the Mass Relays to travel across the galaxy to enter the nether regions of space to tackle the Reapers head on. But you never see what happens in the end. Their fate is up in the air, and will succeed or fail based on whether or not your a paragon or renegade.

I would like a huge armada of reapers and united fleets of all civilizations with Normandy leading them go in frontal assault. And long CGI video of the final battle.

Obviously best ending would be win with moderate cost but then for the nartor to say

"war....war never changes" becuse ultimately peace isn't going to last forever soon as the reapers are dealt with we'll go back to killing each other but it's nice for things you can count on.

Various endings dependent on decisions within all three games, one being Shepard is laid to rest next to her parents on Mindoir and Liara is there, holding her tummy.

-Well first off I don't want any of my squadmates dying cumpulsory. Especially Garrus and Tali.

-There must be a huge explosion.

-It will not be on Earth. It will be defending something important, like the Citadel, or the fringes of the Galaxy from Dark Space.

-There will be at least some space combat with the Normandy SR2. EMP thanix cannon with dual mounted SuperCain Mass Accelerator weapons activate!

-A little soppy Love-Interest moment.

-Admiral Hackett.

-No freakin' pregnancies.

If the Reapers actually won in the end... I'd be happy because it would be really unexpected.

Same, There was this one ending I really liked that a poster said. A pyjak would mess with an Omnitool and its says a message about the Reapers coming in Shepards voice.

For an optional ending, that would send shivers down my spine.

Shepard retires and has kids, and trains them for a Mass Effect spin off.

Dream ending? The option for a paragon ending without Shep needing to sacrifice himself.

Agreed. Enough of this "ultimate sacrifice" crap..You don't have to die to make a good, heroic ending!!!

Shep is the only one who survives the battle and retires in shame, even though being the saviour of humanity, he is haunted for the rest of his life by the death of his comrades, and commits suicide 10 years later, a cold and broken man.

Oh and this song plays in the background

It should be something "big", surprising and yet make sense.

How do you want to make spin-off, sequel and MMO with ending like that?

Maybe Shepard should make Jacob or Miranda to do the sacrifice, then?

Well, a perfect ending would be like Liara said "right in the fray":

Assault on a derelict airport, fighting through waves of bad guys, surviving just because we are to stubborn to die. When finally reaching the command centre and sending the coordinates for the final attack, just standing there with our dearest comrades, watching the space chivalry move in and kick those reapers right in their daddy bags.

While doing this, in the background, they play "Sabaton - Back in Control":

How about Shep and friends (who are still around) all survive the fight and we see what they do with the rest of there lives. Kinda like a slideshow of sorts.

I say this. During one of the major plot missions during the first 4-7 hours of the game you stumble upon a single chamber housing a living, unharmed prothean who is well aware of what happened to his/her people, and throughout the course of the game helps you and the rest of the galaxy prepare for the imminent reaper invasion. You two will become close friends, and the tear-jerker moment will be where they sacrifice themself at the end to either save you or to carry out the mission in the end, perhaps both. Maybe even throw in a "I stayed behind to ensure this no one would have to do what I'm doing right now. You've completed your mission, Shepard. It's time for me to complete mine."

Also, they will be a potential love interest, to make it even more painful for those Sheps who happen to fall in love with a "ghost."

It's cheesy and cliched, but I'd like to see Liara settled in a remote location, with Shepard showing up in the distance ala Cpt Nathan Algren in Last Samurai.
