So I was doing the Arl of Recliffe questline, attempting to save Connor, which led me back to the Mage's Tower which I had to clean out and do the Broken Circle quest, which led e to the Fade, which then led me to the Sacred Urn quest... all in all, it was one of the best experiences I've had in a RPG for a long while. It all flowed so seamlessly, and the writing was exceptional. I truly felt like I was experiencing something I had only read about in some of the Forgotten Realms books (even though it's not based on Forgotten Realms).
I just wanted to say thanks to Bioware for giving me this experience, and I'm quite anxious to continue on.
Playing on 360 BTW, not that it matters. It was still a very very rewarding experience.
Wow... just wow... (not WoW)

I know how you feel. I love this game. I have always been a huge fan of the way Bioware could spin a tale. I just wish I had more time to play... damn work.

Heh, when I did the Redcliffe quest I didn't know about the third option of going to the circle. I sat at my computer for close to 5 min staring at the screen wondering if I should kill the kid or the mother. Than another 5 min after I got to the kid due to the dialog in the beginning. I remember killing him saving and quitting for the night. Man that was depressing. Ah well, next play through I save em!

I didn't know about the third option either. I used the Blood Mage to sacrifice his Mother. Man did I get a tongue lashing from Allistar after that quest was over.

Well as a mage, blood magic is awesome. So It was well worth killing the mother.

I guess they werent in such a hurry after all, huh? lol. I thought the circle thing was a dead end conversation option so I just killed the boy instead. I reasoned that the father would mourn the loss more, but he'd still have his wife, you know? If you kill the wife to reach the fade, then she dies, and the boy gets taken to the circle of magi, so the dad is left with nothing which kind of sucks.

It never occurred to me that I'd have to kill Connor or Insole. Though it grated on me the way she said Tegan. “You must help me TeGHAAAAAAAN!” “Come to the castle TeGHAAAAAAAAN!”
I wish there were conversational options to slap people when they’re hysteric.

I kind of wish the option to go to the circle wasn't there just because having to choose which innocent person to kill is a pretty powerful decision.

I was worried about time limits, and I was anxious to move on, I never knew about the other 2 options. Well she did kind of mention going to the tower, but that seemed a long shot, so I just went the easy way and offed the kid. I never knew you could off the mother.
It was very difficult, however. As she kept begging and pleading for me not to do it. And I had to keep insisting.

I just finishred that part and I pretty much played that one as cold hearted as I could even though I have tried to go through the rest of the game leaning towards the 'good' options. There was just something about Isolade that made me want for her to survive and face up to what she had done. Even her pleas that Connor was an innocent in all this fell on deaf ears because of the way she treated Alistair forcing him from the only home he knew just because he was a bastard. Innocence didn't seem to matter to her then. The longer the quest went on the more I wanted to make her suffer and in the end I got my chance by knocking her cold as she knelt at Connor's side then killed the boy. I have to admit though the whole scene did play out a little more harsh than what I was expecting.
