Looking for a bowing script

I'm looking for a script that will cause a NPC to bow to a PC. Instead of the conventional bow, I want a military or a Far East kind of a bow (a martial arts bow). I'm assuming that it would be a hearbeat kind of a script.

Does NWN have a default script for that kind of animation? Or does anyone have a script that would be useful for that? What I'm after is having military guards bow to PCs as the PCs walk by them.

There is no current animation in the stock NWN that will give a bow as you describe. Scripting will not help here either as a script fires the animation. Since the animation for what you're asking does not exist, you'll need a whole new animation for the NPC to do, which requires custom content.

There is a salute animation though if they have a weapon in their hand they do have a nasty habit of stabbing themselves through the head!

Who in there right mind salutes with a weapon in their hand? Well, other than the 3 Stooges I mean.

Play Animation: The “Play Animation” dropdown menu provides you with a list of visual
animations that can be performed by the speaker of the node. Some of them (like “Read” or
“Salute”) will be performed once, at the moment the node is spoken (they are called “Fire
Forget” animations) while some others (like “Talk Laughing” or “Bow”) will be performed by
the speaker until another node is spoken (they are called “Looping” animations). All these
animations are strictly visual: they do not affect the game otherwise. Just as an example, if
you add a “Drink” animation to a node that is spoken by the player, it does not mean that the
engine will remove a potion from the player’s inventory.
