Sorry if somebody asked this already but I don't have time to look through all the threads: is Zevran going to be in DA II?  And if not, is it to late to ask the developers to add him to the game and how could we do that? I was very disappointed that the Awakening didn't have him and, as silly as it sounds, I probably won't buy DA II if he is not in it.  What can I say? He is my favourite game character of all time and it's just not the same without him.  I'll probably just keep playing DA Origins then.

Probably not and yes it is way too late for requests I would imagine. Plus, Zevran has a tendency to wind up dead in alot of games, so it's not like they could make a big deal out of him anyway.

You can kill Oghren in Origins as well...

Alistair will have a cameo in DA2 and you can definitely kill him or watch him die in DA:O (think pragmatist and warden commander achievements -- and also, mad Alistair fangirls).

That said, I'm not too optimistic. It would make sense to have Zevran has a cameo but I won't hold my breath.

I got the impression that Alistair could have a cameo, that it was dependent on our choices in DA:O.

Oh yes you can -- Oghren can end up very dead..  

And my point was, just because Alistair dies in many playthroughs (either through execution or being fed to the arch demon) doesn't mean he doesn't have a cameo in DA2 for people whom ending their game with Alistair alive so that doesn't preclude Zevran having a cameo for people who had him alive at the end of origins.  hell, he may end up leader of the Crows -- it WOULD make sense for him to have a cameo.

Actually I think that Alistair only has a cameo if you make certain decisions in DA:O. If he doesn't become a drunk at the end of DA:O, he doesn't appear in DA:2.

My point is, he CAN have a cameo. Not everyone will see it, but it is there for people who fall under certain conditions.  Therefore, I'm saying just because Zevran dies in people's playthroughs doesn't mean there cannot be a cameo there for people who let him live.  

Edit: I still won't hold my breath, however.

Alistair WILL have a small cameo in DA2, but it's based on your choices. David Gaider confirmed it

BTW, how can you kill Oghren in Origins ?

Well Zevran is a friend of Isabellas, maybe he'll make a cameo after you recruit her.

You can't really kill him. As I recall, you have to get his approval lower than the game will actually allow it to go. So, console commands basically. Though maybe Feast Day Pranks would work, I don't have that DLC so I never tried. But, essentially, you can't "really" kill him and even if you "do", he turns up quite happily in Awakening, nevertheless. And apparently with no hard feelings about it.

I killed Zevran in every playthrough.... Couldn't justify leaving him alive after he just ambushed me.

You can do things that tick oghren off a lot -- enough to get him down to 100 hostile I'm pretty sure. You truly can. be rude to him, kill branka, offer him up as a golem to caradin, kill conner, etc etc etc. It's not easy to get any character to 100 hostile, but it IS doable.

And again, saying Zevran can't have a cameo for anyone because he ended up dead in YOUR game doesn't mean he can't have a cameo for anyone. Again, Alistair ends up dead in a lot of games, yet under certain circumstances, he has a cameo. just because Alistair fed himself to the archdemon for one of my playthroughs doesn't mean that he doesn't show up for anyone, though he obviously would not show up if I import that game.

I'm not sure why that's such a difficult concept. In a few circumstances, Zevran ends up the leader of the crows. So it's not THAT unreasonable to think he may have a cameo for those people.

But again, I'm not going to hold my breath.

I'm telling you, riots in the streets of Edmonton.  it would be ugly.  REALLY ugly.  People would write really angry posts all over the place at the very least
