i actually don't think Zevran will get a cameo, and that would be for the best if the dialog weren't written with some sensitivity for wardens who ended the game with him in love.

I'm telling you, riots in the streets of Edmonton. it would be ugly. REALLY ugly. People would write really angry posts all over the place at the very least
I do like Zev. He's fun to watch. Even in his death.

Ignoring the hopes of the mob of fangirls who may try to cut my throat, is Alistair confirmed to have a cameo in DA2? I always found his commentary rather amusing.

A quick search on the DAO spoiler forum only reveals hate for Zevran, lol. Poor Zev doesn't have a 5 billion posts love thread.
well, that's not quite true. there was a very long thread that got closed down, and now there's another that 100 pages long.
edit: But really, what does that have to do with cameos? You dont' have to have him as a love interest for him to get the slide that has him taking over the crows.

It doesn't bother me at all that people don't like Zevran -- what ticks me off is people thinking their game decisions should be the most important and other people's game decisions shouldn't matter.
Every time anyone mentions Zevran, there's a huge chorus of "But he's dead!" Is everyone that afraid of a group of pixels identified as male expressing interest in their pixels, which are similarly identified? Because the "I couldn't trust him" crowd is never as vehement--they say it and move on instead of pounding it into the ground.
You know what? I think Zev fans would be better served by them just killing him off. Its better than him going back to the Crows and staying with them (which is hinted at as canon), and wouldn't offend delicate fan sensitivities

Alistair WILL have a small cameo in DA2, but it's based on your choices. David Gaider confirmed it
BTW, how can you kill Oghren in Origins ?
If you get his approval really really low, you'll end up throwing down with him in camp. He'll yield, and you can decide to banish him from your group, tell him to fall back in line, or finish him off.

Anyway, I see no reason why Zevran shouldn't have a cameo in DA2. Unless he died in Origins, of course.

I have to agree with you on this. Why his ultimate sacrifice ending had to be hinted at as being canon is beyond me. It would be difficult to write him as he was both after he fell in love and if he doesn't fall in love and putting a cameo in based on that, so I think no cameo would be safest.

Sorry if somebody asked this already but I don't have time to look through all the threads: is Zevran going to be in DA II? And if not, is it to late to ask the developers to add him to the game and how could we do that? I was very disappointed that the Awakening didn't have him and, as silly as it sounds, I probably won't buy DA II if he is not in it. What can I say? He is my favourite game character of all time and it's just not the same without him.I'll probably just keep playing DA Origins then.
That's just an appalling lack of faith. You realize the same team that gave you Zevran is working on DAII, right? Aren't you running the risk of never meeting the new, shiny romance option that sets your gamer's imaginary heart ablaze?

I'm not saying that, personally. I keep Zevran alive in all my games, though I did kill him my first playthough because who hires their own assassin? People with foreknowledge of the plot
Like you, I'm in the "wouldn't hold my breath" camp. It's a possibility, but it's a small gain for a presumably sizeable amount of work and cash, which is why I wouldn't hold my breath.
RE: killable Oghren, I didn't take into account going to Orzammar first. Maybe if you get him early on and just constantly dog him you can get it that low. I usually get him last and could barely get him in the negative 40's when I tried.

Anyway, it better be THIS^...or else. Or else, I'll make you fix it, that's what.

Alistair will have a cameo in DA2 and you can definitely kill him or watch him die in DA:O (think pragmatist and warden commander achievements -- and also, mad Alistair fangirls).
That said, I'm not too optimistic. It would make sense to have Zevran has a cameo but I won't hold my breath.
wait you can kill him lol i been trying to do that the past 6 play throughs lmao

You can do things that tick oghren off a lot -- enough to get him down to 100 hostile I'm pretty sure. You truly can. be rude to him, kill branka, offer him up as a golem to caradin, kill conner, etc etc etc. It's not easy to get any character to 100 hostile, but it IS doable.
It's very easy to get them to hostile, in most cases. Keep telling them to leave the party, then change your mind. You take an approval hit every time and eventually reach hostile territory.

They need more Blizzard-style funny reactions if you do the same thing to a companion over and over and over, especially for this one.
PC: "Sten, I think you should leave."
Sten: "As do I. It does not therefore follow that I will."
PC: "Nevermind."
Sten: "I wonder why you even speak sometimes."
---------3 seconds later---------
PC: "Sten, I think you should leave."
Sten: "Didn't we already have this discussion?"
PC: "Nevermind."
Sten: (under his breath) "WTF is wrong with you?"
---------3 seconds later----------
PC: "Sten, I think you should leave."
Sten: "Did your brain die or something?"
PC: "Nevermind."
Sten: "It's not going to stop, is it."
--------3 seconds later---------
PC: "St--"
Sten: "--en, I think you should leave?"
PC: "Yeah."
Sten: "Nevermind."
-------3 seconds later-------
PC: "St--"
Sten: *cold-****s the PC* Ahh, silence.
(If they don't mind breaking the fourth wall, they could have the final response in the chain be "Are you trying to get negative favor? You are, aren't you. Fine, have your stupid negative favor." NPC disapproves -80)
