Emissary doesn't look very intelligent to me.

I don't know, the Emissary looks a little clumsy though. 
Must be the nerds of the Darkspawn.  

Then Hurlocks must be the Jocks.
Ogres are the bullies.

Oh dear, what have I done.  I can't believe I'm putting darkspawn into High School cliques.

Nice new look for the emissaries. I like how they are gaunt now. They seem to share a bit more with the Architect's design. The long, curved fingernails are a nice touch too. Hurlocks on the other hand seem bland and uninspired. Then again they are common soldiers in the darkspawn ranks so I hardly expected their redesign to inspire awe. Thanks for the update!

I agree, the emissaries look great and the hurlocks look like Skeletor.

I'm glad the Emissaries look different. That always kind of bugged me. Emissaries were just darkspawn with staffs, that's it. Now they look more in line with the Architect.

In origins there are only hurlocks emissaries and genlocks emissaries but this concept art looks like a shriek emissary with the pointy ears and the claws. Am I wrong?

The hurlocks are Skeltor and the Emissaries are now Nosferatu.

I kind of like the new Emissary design, but I really like the little blade head dress thing they had going on in Origins. The new ones look a bit zombie-ish? They look ok in the concept art I guess, minus the arched back deal which seems awkward.

But then again, I thought the new hurlock concept art looks good but they look goofy in the actual game, so who knows.

Edit: But thats a good point- whats up with the pointy ears on the emissary? Is this an elven/shriek darkspawn emissary or is this supposed to be a human/hurlock emissary?

I like the new look of the skin, it looks disgusting and diseased like I imagined it should.

The Emissary reminds me of The Master, the vampire from Salems Lot now.

I thougt darkspawn were supposed to look scary and frightening.
I'm just asking because I cant stop laughing here.
Especially the the lower left part of the Emissary picture looks just... odd, to say at least.
I know it's just artwork and in the final game it'll probably look completely different, but still, darkspawn shouldn’t make one laugh...
