A very cool design with the emissaries. Wondering if the one in the concept art is a Shriek/Elven emissary, and if there will be different looking Hurlock/Human emissaries? I'd guess modelling them ingame would likely be considered not fruitful enough, so at this point I suppose it's unlikely we'll get to see such creatures...

I like the look of the new emissary, it doesn't look as tribal as it used to. Although when I saw it on the main page, I thought at first that it was a female. Then I saw the larger picture and decided it was male.

Loving the new designs, but I'm also hoping we get some more variation between similar darkspawn models... for example the battle mage (from witch hunt) just looks like a regular hurlock emissary with a new staff..., ... I'd love them to look slightly different this time round.. even if it was just different looking armour/ robes etc

I really like the new emissary design, I still think the old hurlocks looked better though

Who gave his okay to those designs? DAO darkspawn looked evil, DAII darkspawn just look plain fugly. I understand you have to give non-DAO players a motivation to antagonize those creatures, but why resort to pettymethods such as this.
I sincerely hope you bring out a Toolset for DAII so some modders can get the taint back into the Darkspawn!

I could do without the weird face-strap things, but other than that, I like the new Emissaries.
Yeah that looked a bit funny to me as well. Almost like it was wearing a gag mask.

The Emmisary looks okay but that Hurlock looks like a clown. That orcish Uruk-Hai looking design from DA:O looked much better.

I really like the Emissary look. Definitely better than the Hurlock one.

Seriously, the darkspawn armor looks like S&M and bondage gear, not armor.

I liked the original look of the Hurlocks. The new hurlocks just look stupid. I'm still deciding on the emissaries. I wished that emissaries looked different than regular hurlocks but the Nosferatu design seems a bit extreme to me. They look like a completely different creature.

It kind of puts me in mid of Hellraiser, but the emmisary is at least a bit creepy, the Hurlock just looks ... ... ah! I'm not even going to bother, these things are subjective, but this style is not really to my personal taste.

Don't like. Their eyes are blank and hold no intelligence or malignity. They're too dry and skeletal, whereas their skin in DA1 had a wet, rotten, overripe texture. Sharp fangs are now big goofy skeleton grins. Armor looks like costume gear for a bondage game. Emissaries now seem crafted from an entirely different creature, as if somehow using magic makes them thin and shriek-like. None of this is especially bad, it's just that they're strange changes, fixing things that aren't broken.

I really like the new emissary look, they really stand out from the other darkspawn now, but at the same time, the first thought that popped into my head was...
"Why is Nosferatu wearing an apron?"

I like the emissary look, but whoever designed the hurlocks... well, ridiculous is a mild expression to describe them.

These new looks make these darkspawn look a lot more creepy and glad I refused the Architect plan.

Why do they look nothing like their predecesors from DA: O?

Makes me interested to see how the Ogres will turn out, although if more bondage gear is involved, er, maybe not.

Dragon age 2 looks great.. the new wierd kinda kinky darkspawn do not.. its kind of a killer ik they want a new art direction but this is definatly the wrong direction imo idk if itll be as immersive when the darkspawn look way to wierd. i dont mind the new look to actual darkspawn ,less orc/zombie and more curropted humanoid, but the armor is just a turn off.

Blech... they've ruined the look of the darkspawn excluding the emissaries, which actually look creepy. Hurlocks looked badass in DA:O ... now they look stupid.

Hurlocks look good . . .emisaries - why do they have to look so different? They didn't used to be a different species . . . .
