I understand that modules that require CEPv1 won't function with CEPv2. Is there a way to install both versions alongside one another, and if so, how?

You should be able to have both in you NWN/hak folder at the same time with no problem, since they have different file names.

If I recall correctly (which I probably don't, but still), some of the earlier CEP versions overlap with NWN 1.69, so there might be some missing parts.

You can have them both available in your hak folder cleanly, but you have to choose which set you want to add to a given module. Same same with Feanor's armor.

Switching up is generally doable, with a quick pass to make sure all of the custom creatures and armor have the right appearance.

(Side discussion: I've had more trouble with Alazander's custom haks than I've had with any CEP adjustments - the initial release of visible cloaks as part of the armor appearance is really tricky to convert into CEP 2's implementation without losing visible bodies under the cloaks.)

The files for CEP v1.x and CEP v2.x have different naming schemes so you can have them both "installed" at the same time. Furthermore, CEP v2.x is backward compatible so that any CEP v1.x module can be updated to CEP v2.x with only minor conflicts (1.69 required us to move a few shields and miscellaneous icons).

Also, pstemarie made a 1.69 compatible version of CEP v1. You can get it here: CEP v1.69

Actually that is a fix for CEP v1.69 linked in my post.
