Im starting to think the picture is for the fight on earth. The guy could be a new squadmate thats fighting against the reapers on earth when Shep gets back so it could very well be ME3.

No one is saying ME3 wasn't confirmed. We all know it's coming out. We're discussing if the footage is ME3 or not.
Also, let's not forget that actually a source in Russia first announced ME2 was coming to PS3 and we know how that went.

And also to people saying it's too early for an ME3 unveiling, don't forget there was a year gap between the release of ME1 and the announcement of ME2. Timing seems right.

Milk ME to death? This is what tarnishes the name of a franchise. They make more and more, and the games get ****ter and ****ter. It's Murphy's law.
And of course everyone knows that ME3 is coming. But i'd sure as hell want an announcement on ME3 (Which usually includes a release date and a teaser) than a spin off game that appeals to a genre of gamers that already have a ****load of games at their disposal. I'm not hating FPS, i play COD and Halo all the time, but Mass Effect does not belong there.

I pray to the Gods above that it's ME3. I want to "finish the fight" before I start doing prequals, branch-offs, etc.
