Hi Guys,

I recently upgraded my graphics card from a HD 4650 to a HD 4850.

For some reason ME1 will not install anymore.

I get as far as entering the code and then it says installation cancelled.

Would this be the DRM causing this?

My system spec is

Vista 32-bit
Phenom Quad 1.8Ghz
3 Gb Ram
HD 4850

Presumably; but I don't think I'll know anything more than you do, particularly if there's no error message.

All I can suggest is contacting EA Support.

Compleately remove any trace of the old drivers.... try installing the game before you install the new drivers and after...

worth a try..

Any idea as to how I would remove the old drivers?

there are plenty of driver cleaning software floating around that you can download.. although I have to admit I would never use one... never had an issue that needed it... uninstalling then deleting whatever is leftover in your ATI folder should suffice. make sure you uninstall first, never delete first.

Like i said before try installing the game before any drivers are loaded.. If this does not work I would almost conclude this is as unrealated issue.

you could also try reinstalling your old 4650... make sure you uninstall the drivers before any card change then install drivers again once the new card is installed. then try installing the game, once installed change back it the 4850
