I've tried installing BiG World (have the fixpack and all) but the BG1 check keeps failing. It says that it needs the 5512 patch. Now, the place where I downloaded the patch afterward said if I have the 3 disc set the patch is already in it. I downloaded it anyway hoping to appease the BiG World Installer. Upon running it within my BG folder it says the game isn't installed and fails. So what do I do? I'm about to proceed to install all the mods without BiG and just do it manually starting with NEJ, BGT, TDD, and DSotSC and finally the worldmap.
BiG World Install Doesn't Work

I don't really recommend a manual install. The chances of screwing up are pretty big. Not to mention the fact that you need to call in sick for work/school for the next week or so.
Did you do a FULL install of Baldur's Gate with all boxes of the custom install checked? The install will fail if you didn't. Same for SoA and ToB.
Also, make sure you have the latest version of the BWP set up (9.5). You don't need to get the fixpack yourself, the setup handles everything for you.If you have Baldur's Gate Saga, you don't need the patch.

I went to install DSOTSC and all I got were the portraits. It didn't install the mod itself. It skipped it saying it was only relevant to BGT (I have BGT). What am I doing wrong?

I did yes. I was just going to forget about it and run with DSOTSC/NTSOC/TDD as my megamods. Plus the super map. The content in those should keep me busy for a long time. Though I still really want to have NEJ with those...I installed it on my clean install and it didn't work so I just uninstalled it and ran with the above.

There are a zillion ways to screw up an installation, even an almost completely automated installation like BWP. Of course, it's hard for me to say where exactly it went wrong.
Is the above your COMPLETE Weidulog? Did you follw the instructions and installation order provided by BWP?
Be careful with NEJ. The latest version requires Baldurdash, instead of the fixpack. Besides, there currently are compatability issues with other mods. It's recommended to use it as a standalone installation. You can use an older version of NEJ. 4.2 should be fine, though you still need a patch to install it correctly with the Megamod, iirc.
You're missing the Baldur's Gate fixpack, which is a requirement and should be installed first after applying the patches. Some mods won't install without the fixpack.

Final set up:
Not using BWP, couldn't find the list it supposedly gives you, so I went with this...
BG2 clean, Official Patch (I hate, HATE the "XXX appears busy" bug....), TDD, BG-T, DSoTSC, then finally the Charming Rogue Imoen kit (because she's useless in BG2 without it). Works fine...for now. So I'm rolling with it. What do you think?

It appears you missed the Fixpack.
I'm not entirely sure where I'd put TDD. (actually I'm sure I'd never install it, but each to their own)
