Recently, I finished Mass Effect again, and was looking forward to continuing this current character in ME2. However, Whenever I go to download my ME1 file it says that game is still a work in progress. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I'm not clear on what you mean, this doesn't sound like anything I've heard of before. What says it is still a work in progress? (The ME2 Config Utility when you're trying to get the file transferred; or ME2 itself when you're trying to start new game with an import?)
Come to think of it, maybe I'm off in the wrong direction if you have the XBox version. My impression of this ME1 forum is that it's mostly PC players, so if this is an XBox issue you might get more informed answers here.

It is when I'm actually trying to start a new game. Which is frustrating because it worked perfectly well with past files. Oh and I do have it for the xbox, I probably should have stated that intially, so Im sorry about that. As far as the forum goes, it said it was for both the xbox and pc, but I'll try my luck with your link.

The game seems to think you haven't completed the playthrough. Maybe it just didn't save. Load the last saved file and beat the final boss again.
