Pretty sure Zevran is bisexual in everyone's game. As is Liara. I suppose you could argue that Leliana doesn't explicitly tell a male Warden that she likes women and her conversation with Morrigan might just be friendly.

You can ignore an NPC's sexuality but as expressed within the total game, these characters are bi or pansexual.

That is true enough but i still do not think my point has been understood. Zeveran, Liara or Leliana is written to be bi sexual accessable but it is up to the player to decide to express the bi sexuality of those characters. It is player choice as to what sexuality they really are sure they hint but that means little until the player chooses. They are written to accomidate player choice as it is possible to have a straight relationship with them as well. My point is that until such a time as the player makes the conscious choice to engage in a gay relationship with any of them they for all intensive purposes have no sexual orientation. What this means is that if as the poster to whom i responded finds a gay relationship uncomfortable they have a choice to not engage in a gay relationship with any of the characters, but the choice is still there and it should be. Just because someone finds a gay relationship uncomfortable, thier discomfort should not be a factor in whether a choice is given to the player. It is a viable choice and so long as it remains an option that the player must choose, what is the big deal?

no offense, but if a bisexual is in a straight romance they are still bisexual and if a bisexual is in a gay romance they are still bisexual. you dont choose their sexuality.

I actually never used him with Velanna much that I can remember, so I don't remember their conversations much. But regardless, I can't see Velanna falling for a human.

I can see Sigrun and Nathan becoming bodies and then getting together tho. Because it would be absolutely adorable.

Bah, maybe in your game. In my playthroughts he never even talked to her. Instead he was having the most hilariously awkward conversations with sigrun.

oghren was fun in DAO, and he had 1 funny line in DAA, but fart jokes are only funny for so long. lol

I liked Sigrun alot, too. I really wanted to be able to have her come back to Orz with my Paragon DNF so they could hang out and kill darkspawn, but she ended up wandering off to fullfill her Legion duties instead.



I don't think we'll see anything besides a small cameo from any of the Awakenings characters in DA2, if we see them at all, though.

The sad thing about the Awakening group is that we are not given enough chances to actually know them better as we could only speak to them when there is some random tree or statue with interaction buttons.

I liked Sigrun, but if you defended the citidel (can't remember it's name) instead of the Keep, and didn't take her with you, she dies. I was a bit upset by that, but I think it makes her unlikely to be a companion in DAII.

Mike Laidlaw has stated that Nathaniel will be appearing in DAII - I thought most people already knew that! We don't know if it's as a companion or a guest appearance.

Actually tishyw, I managed to keep her alive while defending the Keep... Something about her finally standing up to fight instead of running away...

I would love to have Sigrun, Anders, Valena, Nate, and Justice all turn up in cameos to some degree in DA2. I got around to playing Awakening really late and wasn't sure what to expect, but despite the change in the convo dynamic the new team pretty much blew me away. Anders became my second favourite Dragon Age character, with Sigrun close behind.

Giving them cameos (and they all could fit in without it being silly) would be a nice touch seeing as they didn't get developed as much as the Origins bunch, despite (in my opinion) being better than half of original party members.

Oh and as I've only been through Awakening with one character so far, my female Dwarf Noble rogue, she had more of a sisterly thing going with Sigrun - they were so similar in certain ways! Plus my Dwarfette was too busy crushing on Anders.

I sound the complete opposite of 'manly' right now don't I? *hands in 5 man cards*

Edit: As far as characters dying or not... I thought that was similar to ME2 and relied on you having completed their personal quest or something?

...but this reminds me, it may be you killed Alistair off in DA1 and if you played a noble your warden may be ruler of Ferelden now, I wonder how DA2 will handle that, considering that the ruler of Ferelden is supposed to show up at a point in DA2

That said...people need to learn to read....Sigrun learns not to run from her death meaning she gets herself killed if you leave her at the keep

Except that Nathaniel is most likely to appear BEFORE he goes back to Amaranthine. He mentions having a crazy time in the Free Marches.

Seriously, I do not get this need for cameos or even having old NPCs back entirely. What happened to having a new refreshing story?

I misread. And the rest of them would be restricted to short cameos as well, no doubt. I hope at least.



But about the nostalgia, it is not like Hawke would know any of the people from previous games, which would make encounters really shallow. Having a full companion, who was prominent in previous games, can tarnish the new storyline as well. But to each his/her own.

This. So very much this! 

Varric may be one of the best characters ever. I had a hard time liking Oghren in DA:O and in Awakenings he became unbearable. At some point I got so annoyed that I muted the game whenever I talked to him.
Wouldn't mind a Sigrun cameo though, but not as a permanent member.

I love Sigrun! In my last play through, I forgot to take her through the joining and she still stuck around with the wardens. Sweet! It would be fun to have her appear in DA2, especially if we can get some more Sigrun humor.

When did Sigrun become bisexual? I thought she worked for Mischa and screwed her over (figuratively). I hope the trend isn't that every Dwarven woman is bisexual or a lesbian.
