I have done all the quest in the Mage tower and still no sword, I did the apprences notes killed a giant rat and no sword, what am I missing? please help.

You need to do the statues on the 3rd floor for the sword. Once you activate the 4 statues you can click on the basement door on the first floor to fight a demon. He drops Yusaris.

Is there a certain order in which to activate the statues? and can i go back to do it once i have left the tower?

Just a note the staues on the 3rd floor will not give any signal to them being activated only when done in the wrong sequence will they do something.
