There's also a suggestion, from an overheard conversation, that other species see asari as looking like the female version of their own species, so the only reason they look human to Shepard is because s/he is human.
This concept is kinda creepy for me...makes me imagine that Asari could justifyably look like space-slugs, or some other type of ugly alien "for real" and just mess with our minds to make themselves look so nice. I can't imagine getting a slimy slug-kiss from a Jabba the hutt looking alien and not knowing it... Yuck!
...still like Asari though.
So Liara will be a D-cup in about five hundred years! My femshep won't be around then!darthbuert wrote...
In looking at Benezia, Samara, and other so-called "aged" Asari, I can't help thinking that the older they get the more voluptuous they become. Liara's mom had a body that just wouldn't quit...same goes for Samara...talk about cougars...
Hopefully with all the implants that Cerberus installed in Shep, he/she'll live a lot longer than the average human...which means more of an opportunity to enjoy that wonderful bod budding on Liara...Fancando wrote...

But through the science of cloning.......................... everything is possible.:D:D

And mind manipulation does add up in the Asari actually.

I think they made the old ones more voluptuous to offset the fact that they're, well... old.

Asari don't age in the same way humans do, obviously. I mean, they have to look attractive for their matron stage, right? That's over two hundred years of aging right there.
And as previously mentioned, it's not the middle aged/matron stage asari that work as dancers. Those are maiden stage, which tend not to hit matron stage until about 200-250 years (give or take a few depending on meld frequency). Middle aged for an asari is, what, 500 years?
Where's my "I support the Asari archtype" sig banner?
Good point there. Asari mental maturation is a very interesting topic, is Liara a 100 year old teenager now? When will she be in an adult mindset like Shepard?deleted wrote...

Physically the asari always remain attractive because that's what the players want. However it does seem like their approach to life is similar to ours but on a timeframe that is 10 times longer. The maiden stage is like youth that lasts for centuries, the matron settles down just like middle aged women do, the matriarch are wise just like old humans sometimes are. The only difference is for childhood. I suspect asari are full grown by the time they hit their twenties, as being a small child for centuries renders survival impossible for a species. Liara would be about 10 if we just divided her age by 10, yet she behaves like a young adult.
