However I think the most annoying section for me was at the beginning of the Lair of the Werewolves (the third section), were you are attacked by a bunch of shadow wolves who instantly overwhelm you. Those were probably the enemies that annoyed me the most.
Oh, and those damn spirit dwarves with their horrible songs of courage/valor.

Emissaries, because of Curse of mortality.
I get why you're saying this, but I actually like how they very dangerous if not handled correctly.
The spider queen is a good candidate, I agree very much with that. Being webbed over and over again just isn't fun.

Reminds me of an old Commodore 64 game where you run around in a forest and shoot things with a bow. If you miss the spiders you die in a VERY horrible way, looks exactly like this and scared me a lot because I wasn't very old at the time. Oh well, nobody cares about the Commodore

"Quick gotta heal Oghren...damn"
Also those bloody grubs in Awakening, just spam to hell all the way to the nest.
"Oh more grubs...great"
EDIT: oh yeah agree about Overwhelm too, and also boss grab moves. bosses have enough abilities with insta-kill melee range ones too!

Oh god... the noise those things make is like an icepick to the head. The only thing worse is if they all had Isolde's voice and screamed "teeeeeaaaaagggaaaan" as thy attacked.Sarah1281 wrote...
Sharlocks. Between the noise and the teleporting, they're my most annoying enemy.
Now that would be a mod to install on the computer of someone you hate.

That would be too cruel! Didn't someone make a photomanip of ShriekIsolde in the old Alistair thread?
Also, for some reason genlocks annoy me a lot too, especially when they are running away from me. They just look so comical that it's annoying.

All those spiders in Ortan Thaig, especially the Queen. That fight and the one in the Brecilian Ruins with the Shadow Wolves were the nastiest on my nightmare solo runs. Add to that the spider noises make my skin crawl...
Seriously, how did you do the Shadow wolves part solo? I mean, they appear out of nowhere (usually two or three at a time) and instantly overwhelm you. What class were you playing?

The whole Paragon Of Her Kind quest is one long pain in the ass. I always do it dead last now it just feels like relentless fight after relentless fight my first ever runthrough i was tearing my hair out everytime i slogged my way through something i was faced with an even bigger challange moments later. The whole quest seems designed to make you want to pitch your controller accross the room

Deepstalkers. It's not that they're dangerous - just annoying and time consuming to deal with given their lack of loot and XP.
This, dear god this. I effing hate Deepstalkers just because of how time consuming they are. The fact you can't walk into another set of caverns without another 15 of them springing up doesn't help
My second most hated are the Entropy Mages. Curse of mortality = rage. But curse of misdirection? That is just the personification of annoyance.

Yeah, I always call them sharlocks because I hate the word shriek.Zjarcal wrote...
They are shrieks. According to their codex entry, scholars call them sharlocks.

And one I haven't seen mentioned yet, Ogres. They're annoying when I'm playing a melee character because just about the time you get close enough to hit them, they either stun you, knock you on your butt, or snatch you up like a martini shaker.

It's easier with a mage than with a rogue, but I've done it with both. With the mage, run through the area and pray mindblast goes off before they can overwhelm. Once stunned, use cone of cold to keep some of them immobile while you whittle them down one by one. That's the theory. The practice is...tricky. One series, I'd close the door, they'd open it and I'd close it, over and over again. Another, we did a reenactment of the Benny Hill show. Swift Salve helps.
My rogue reloaded a lot. It's possible to to get them to pop out of stealth, then stealth yourself and have one or two follow you to the entry. Then you pray you drop one before the other overpowers you. It made me really miss having Shale or Alistair around.
