I don't get it.
Were you dying on purpose?
How is watchign someone die in unfunny unironic ways for 6min funny?
I dont mean to be mean, but i dont get it.

Ha, I was just thinking about doing something like this as well with some leftover footage I have.
@xedgorex, You'd be surprised at how many people don't get the point of any of the videos on this forum, doing these videos can be hard. Sometimes you're lucky and the first take is perfect, sometimes you're kicking ass, but then one wrong move BAM! everything you did meant nothing.

You should post a couple. You can share your "what was I thinking" moments.
@xedgorex - there really wasn't a point - it was just some leftovers of some of the crazy things I've done playing ME2.

Is there anyway you could put up a few videos of that variant of the Agent Infiltrator up for people who might be interested in it? I know I would certainly appreciate it, if nothing else it gives me more videos to watch of people who are much better than me at ME2 in my spare time.

I have been looking at this guide for quite a while and have actually made my Infiltrator that I plan to play this way, but I was wondering how does the shotgun fall into this build? I know the overlap between the Mattock and the Viper is what causes the AR training to shine above the rest, but does the shotgun simply fall flat in comparison? If you use the Viper, Locust and a shotgun (I don't have enough experience with shotguns to put one about the rest for this build) with cover your long/medium and short ranges respectively with the same basic playstyle would it not perform similarly?
The Mattock is very flexible and extremely effective at any range. Shotguns are devastating up close and have an edge when it comes to freezing enemies. They fire 8 pellets per shot which makes it possible (and very likely) to freeze enemies with defenses (assuming the shot takes down protection and damages health - which is accomplished easily if you're close enough).
If you're going to use FB bonus power like Tony, I recommend the Mattock. FB is best used at medium range and the Mattock is superior to shotguns in that regard. Shotguns, however, are an excellent bonus weapon, but to get the most out of em, a more CQC style is preferable.
Thisisme's guide can be helpful : social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/261/index/1238419/
and OniGanon's is great also: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/261/index/4890562

There are plenty of cool videos in those two guides, ScroguBlitzen's Reaver Infiltrator is cool to watch too.
This is my Shotgun Infiltrator on the Collector Ship

The feeling of taking out the enemy just with high-tech and skill, without any biotics is awesome! I definitely prefer this play-style to the common widow-infiltrator (which is quite boring imo).

I've run some tests with this build but I'm not a big Flashbang fan. It takes a lot of time between throwing, landing, detonating and the actuall effect and it sometimes doesn't even work at all although you threw it basically right in front of the enemies feet so they were definitely inside the 9m radius. So I've died several times due to "equipment failure". When I played the same levels with the same setup but with Reave instead I got through much faster. Although I still stick to the Viper/Mattock combo and not a Viper/Shotgun combo like in the Reaver thread. But this power is just so badass because it hits instantely, works great against both armor and barriers (while shields are being taken care of by the Disruptor Ammo), gives a health boost and takes the target out of combat with the additional effect of making the target "stand up". I still think that FB obviously fits better as far as the whole Agent concept goes, it just doesn't work for me nearly as well as Reave does.
Yeah, FB acts weird and it gets blocked by covers and seems to disappear when it lands on certain places, as if it's out of the map area. For instance, if it lands near a truck or underneath a stairway, it doesn't work because it's "out of the map." Sometimes it fails when I lob it directly into a cover, but then it completely works if I bounce off a wall and lands at the same place in another playthrough, so quite frankly I still haven’t figured that out. IMO flashbang is so OP when it works, but the unpredictability brings it back down earth.
FB is not really a power, it’s a grenade and doesn’t rely on the game’s auto-targeting to work, so it’s used very differently than other types of powers. The time you’re cooling down from FB is the time you should be moving and attacking with guns, squad powers, fists, gardening equipment, etc. Cloaking stops your regen, but FB doesn’t, so I find that FB often allows me to move and attack better than Cloak.

During the mission "MSV: Strontium Mule" my FB failed almost all the time. Even when thrown right at the feet of the enemies, it wasn't effective ... the FB exploded and nothing happened at all. That was quite annoying to say the least.
But other than that, this build plays very fuidly on insanity ... I almost never die. I really hope this playstyle will be available again in ME3.

Of course I took the Widow considering i'd never used it before. Didn't realise it's a fat-off cylinder... looks so horrible. Yes I know how it looks really shouldn't matter but my FemShep is supposed to be sleek and stylish, that looks goes out of the window carrying around that ridiculously oversized weapon.
Tempted to restart entire game and pick Assault Rifle training so can use the Vindicator (wouldn't use the Mattock as again it's too big).
