OK my PC doesn't fill min requirements. I have P4 3.06 2GB ram and GF7800GS. The game starts without a problem and i can play on min deatails with stady framerate for abaout 2-3 minutes then it strarts to choke a framrate drops to samothing like 5fps. If i save and restart whole game i have again good frame work in the same place but again 2-3 min and same happens any idea why????

sounds like a complex problem, it may be an issue with your memory (ram or video ram) filling up and not discarding. you didnt give us very detailed info on your system. xp, vista, or 7? it def sounds like a ram issue, though. i could be wrong.

well, other than your computer is extremely outdated...and the cpu doesnt meet minimum reqs...i cant see an issue, but the ram is probably really low speed and i would assume the vcard is agp. your computer is really old, dont you think its time for a new one? sorry, i couldnt help more.

try this: http://www.yougamers...eometer/10345/  will give an accurate review of your pc and how it should handle the game...

Actually, I have the same issue but its roughly after 2-4hours of play. It doesnt effect as much since I rarely play that long in one sit down but its a bit disturbing. my fps drops from 60+ to 20-35 lag fallows my windows and commands opening and closing. It also takes longer to load.

Vista64bit

Phenom II 3.0ghz

4GB 1066mhz (Dual Channel)

Sapphire 4850 GDDR3 512mb

BIOSTAR TFORCE TA790GX3 (AMD 790GX)

So like any idea? I dont think its a cooling issue all is in a Antec 900.

Well recently I have heard my powersupply fan kicking in hard and (making noise) i think it might be on its way out. its a cooler master 600w sli ready had it for 4 years. does that sound about right?

could be the power supply is going out, but i doubt that would cause that issue. i have heard a lot of problems with the phenom with this game. have you tried running the game on only one cpu thread? (ctrl+alt+del go to process and right click on dragonage.exe, set affinity, uncheck one of the boxes preferably set it to cpu 2.)

What temperatures are in effect when these symptoms appear?

Get a temperature recording utility and use it.

ATI Tools will put the temperature and frame rate on screen in the game, with minimal hit on CPU cycles.
