Hi all, sorry if this has already been answered somewhere, i tried looking but couldn't find this same problem. If there is a solution already out there, please direct me to it.

The problem is that, when i try to use daupdater.exe to update my game to 1.1 with the .dazip file, it says "Ready to Install" and then "Installing", but almost immediately goes to "Error." When I check the log, i see "Engine.Utilities.DAGameInfo, Error - Couldn't find Dragon Age registry key: SOFTWARE\\Wow6432Node\\BioWare\\Dragon Age"

Well, that's odd, so I go into Regedit.exe to find out what's going on. I find my DA info in "SOFTWARE\\Wow6432NODE\\Electronic Arts\\Dragon Age"

Clearly my registry info somehow wound up in the EA folder instead of the Bioware folder. Is there any way to move this, or get the daupdater to look in this place instead? I would really like to play my new DLC.

There's supposed to be an entry in both locations. I'd try reinstalling or installing the game on another machine and then copying the information.

You do not explain what update you are trying to install...but, iIn addition to the registry issue.....and assuming that it is the DA main game patch that you are updating:

With reference to your game patch file format, read this thread:
http://social.biowar...8/index/5228813
...from post 5 onward.

The latest DAO patch is here:
http://social.biowar...page/da-patches
This download is 1.04.exe (90MB - just one file).
It is not compressed so does not need unzipping or using DAUpdater...just click to execute
