Bhelen is a terrible person, but a much better king.

That is, without a doubt, the worst possible outcome.I picked Harrowmont as king and saved the Anvil.

I may hate his guts, but he's indeed what's best for Orzammar.

Yes, those are the ones! Actually, we should totally have something drawn with Bhelen looking like a Messiah.
@ Zjarcal
Awesome pic!
Sigh. I really like Bhelen.

Is there a Harrowmont version of the Diamond Quarterly?
It's Aeducan approved news.
Harrowmont's name is erased from memory and he is a non-person.
Actually that's partially true, Bhelen says "His name need not pass your lips again".
I think he wants to erase him from existence completely.

Reporting about Harrowmont taking the throne would hardly be Aeducan-approved news, now would it? He'll have to start his own paper.

Bhelen's not happy if you use the name 'Harrowmont' at all which is a House name. Is he planning on renaming House Harrowmong? Liquidating them? Ignoring them entirely?KnightofPhoenix wrote...

Doesn't he send Harrowmont's kids to the surface to fight?
I don't think he would liquidate the entire house. But they'll probably be ignored and forgotten.
House Harrowmont didn't really amount to anything in their history anyways, except with Harrowmont as Endrin's advisor.

And do you have to be a dwarf to get that dialog about Bhelen not wanting to mention Harrowmont's name?

I'm not sure they ever mention if he has kids. Since Bhelen sends the sons of all Harrowmont supporters to the surface to fight if Harrowmont has any I'm sure he'd do no less.KnightofPhoenix wrote...

@Quill74Pen: Let's just say that Bhelen trusts his sister about as much as she trusts him.

It's just so long-established that all of the news is Aeducan-approved that people take it for granted.Zjarcal wrote...

And you have to tell Bhelen that he will make a better king than Harrowmont once you're transported back to the palace post-crowning. Any Warden can do it.

Oh, the sons of all Harrowmont supporters too?
Ha, no wonder why no civil war breaks out like with Harrowmont. Genius. (Maybe the survivors get pardonned)
We should have had much more dwarves in the battle if we picked Bhelen as king. Harrowmont supporters and casteless.

I literally burst into laughter. Boy did you screw up Orzammar.
Bhelen with no Anvil = A saavy King who opens up trade with the surface, loosens up the caste system so people who are of a lower caste actually have a shot at a real life, and the Assembly is dissolved because they're all selfish and uncaring for anyone not related to them.

The ending slide says that he keeps making more golems so that he can CONTINUE to take ground. That means the dwarves are going on the offensive, and reclaiming territory which is a good thing.
Also in the run I did that my DN sent military aid, and helped Dagna so Orzamar now has:
Golems
Apostates
Fereldan Soldiers
Casteless Warriors
All going against the darkspawn, plus Orzamar has Bhelen leading so yeah thats pretty much the dwarven golden age right there.
That was also my DN who left for Orlais with Leliana, Zevran and Dog.

Improved Atmosphere mod
The armor set is called "Paragon Armor" (Branka also has it). You get a set for yourself once you finish the Paragon of her Kind quest.

Even though I personally know that Bhelen works out better, my PCs never pick him. There are hints that he would be more progressive, but his supporter's thuggish behavior that's the first thing we witness on entering Orzammar, his underhanded tactics, and the widespread rumors about him being a murderer rule him out entirely for them. I never save the anvil, though. Branka killed her house, trapped us with darkspawn and is completely nuts. We also know exactly how golems are made by that point.
