Can it wait for a bit? I'm in the middle of some calibrations.

I suppose I should preface this as being a console-specific question.

I understand that, by design, players are introduced to the more action-packed elements of Dragon Age II as soon as possible, but would it be entirely against that philosophy to allow for calibrating UI elements initially? As an example I've seen a few times, guiding arrows with the analog sticks to the screen edges, or something to that effect.

From what I've gathered, an important aspect in designing the interface for the console versions of the game is taking into account the variety in screens, assuring that gamers with different televisions don't have to be concerned with UI elements being clipped off-screen, illegible, or otherwise diminished in function. The end result, for most users I'm sure, is wonderful, but for the other, perhaps more obsessive compulsive gamers, it leaves a lot of space that can be aesthetically... inefficient.

It wouldn't be appropriate to criticise such a miniscule aspect of an unfinished product, especially one that I don't have any first-hand experience with, so that's not the purpose of this thread. I'm only wondering if it would be possible at this point in development, feasible if so, and something that BioWare would ever consider including as an option.

Something like that would make sense if it was possible (and as you say I think I've seen it done before), but I have little knowledge of the process. Still anything that potentially gets console users a better UI gets a vote in my book! Although from what I've seen DA2's UI seems like it might have improved on DAO's in this regard already to some extent.

And I just couldn't resist posting in a thread with that title.
