Hey guys i've been watching alot of videos about Dragon Age Origins and the general game and toolset are just amazing but i want it for xbox really so i can get achievements and use the controller etc but i don't dare buy it on xbox in case it doesn't have toolset or download campaigns which people have made on the forums etc so can you do this on xbox? Also does the PC version have more to offer? if so what does it have more to offer over the xbox 360 version?

Thanks in advance Zore

From my experience this game involves a lot of micro managing that is really easy on the PC. Think NWN or Baulders Gate. I feel like it would be difficult to do all of this on a controller but then again i am a PC kind of guy.

Yes, PC if for nothing else the mods, which I really believe the consoles don't hvae. But just the way the game is played, can't image it without a mouse.

The PC version, assuming you have a good computer is many many times better!

As far as im concerned the only thing i am missing out on is being able to sit on my couch (and larger screen, tho not nearly as sharp) for optinal enjoyment the epic storytelling....

PC version absolutely (if your PC can handle the game, of course). Tactical overhead view alone makes it far better, plus the graphics and interface are better. And, of course, mods and user content.

I can't imagine playing this game on a console.

PC version. graphics alone make it worth getting over the xbox version. besides, you don't only play xbox for achievement points, do you? if you do, that's just sad.

I also won't use the toolset myself, but the point is that OTHER people will use it and create awesome mods that we can download and will give this game longevity, whereas on the Xbox, people will get their 1000 gamerscore and never pop the game in again.

For me this game wasn't even a question of PC or Xbox, it was PC or nothing. I woulnd't have bought it on the Xbox, as a console is not suited for this type of game. That's just my opinion so don't get your panties in a bunch. And don't brand me a console hater as my console to PC game ratio in the last 2 years has been about 20:1. :crying:

I have it for the 360, and although the game is fun, it doesn't look as goos as the PC version. I'm planning on grabbing the collectors edition for the PC. If I were you and had a system that could run it smoothly, I'd go with the PC version.

There are achievements on the PC version too... Consoles are so 90's.

I personally prefer PC games however games such as Oblivion and Two worlds (Played that once and traded it in) i personally believe are just easier and better on a console.

This says it all.  Still, it would be nice to see the game on my 42" plasma.

The plus of using a controller and if to play games on a console is you can sink into a comfrontable chair and eat as much food as possible :P whilst playing a game on your massive  TV and just generally relaxing. Sitting at a desk can be a pain sometimes (In the back mostly)

The control scheme sucks on the 360. Radial menus are awful. Then again, it is a 360, as much as I like it.

Mods, overhead view, better graphics, better combat = pc version is superior. bioware didnt even do the 360 version, they shipped the pc version to another company with the code and said "make it run on the 360"

There shouldn't be a problem to connect a PC to a modern TV set. So you can still play it on your TVs as much as you want.

I have the PC and XBox versions, but I'm only playing on the console. I only bought the PC version so I could play with the toolset, but not for mods... I have other things in mind for it... muaaaaaahahahahahahahaaaaaaa... I also have no interest in playing mods, and I can't stand playing games on the computer, so it's console for me all the way...

I have ordered it for PC about 30 minutes ago but the issue on my mind atm is will my "NVIDIA 8500 Geforce GT" Graphics card handle it? the RAM and processor should be fine but this card is worrying me.
