However, I have to say, I REALLY enjoyed the story of the arc "****** 2," and given all the revelations presented in episodes 2 and 3 (which are spoilers so I won't post), the story actually turned out unintentionally epic in my opinion. :happy:. In the end, Mysterion ended up having a power all along, and seemed like an actual superhero at times.
Besides Matt Stone and Trey Parker trolling the audience big-time with the end of the third episode of "****** 2," it was probably the best story arc in South Park's recent history, and a large part of that is Mysterion's story.
Btw, I'm dead serious about wishing he was a nominee, and I've already posted on Spike's facebook about it (since that is the only forum-like thing Spike has), but I'm only vouching for him as a nominee. I'm still aware of the fact that we have Green Lantern coming out and that could be a for sure winner of that category next year, among any other coming superheroes in the near future.
But it would be seriously unexpected and awesome if Mysterion won, and he's gaining a serious following on facebook, South Park websites, other forums, and deviantart (I've seen at least a thousand recent Mysterion fanart submissions since "****** 2"). For those of you who watched all the episodes of the "****** 2" arc:
what do you think? Do you think given what you know now about Mysterion and his actions in the arc that he could feasibly get a nomination at Spike's next Scream for Best Superhero?
EDIT: I also want to ask if you think that Mysterion SHOULD get a nomination, or deserves it?
