Wow, I just finished another playthrough and did things alittle differently.  I got some weird endings and I'm not sure what to make of them.  How this went down.  I played HNF with Alistair as main LI.  I also had Zevran at 100% love.  I never had the talk with Alistair forcing the issue with Zevran.  I also hardened Leliana which I had never done before.  Here is the endings and I'm not sure if I like them or not.

1.  Alistair was 100% love and I made him sole ruler with me as his mistress, my pc staying in Denerim. 
2.  Zevran at 100% love with him staying in Ferelden with me.
3.  My boon was to become Teyrna of Gwaren.
4.  Leliana hardened with 100% friendship.

Now the epilogue slides and what they said and final talk with Leliana.

My romance showed not with Alistair, but with Zevran at the end, with Zevran leaving after awhile, I assume to go to Antiva to fight for his control of the Crows.

This took me totally by surprise.  Also, no mention of Anora at the end and her being uncomfortable with me staying in Denerim.

During throne room scene with Leliana, she is dressed in armor instead of her gown.  She mentions that she is doing work for Alistair and hints that Alistair and her will be getting together to learn more about the darkspawn as she put it in the deep roads!  :innocent:   Apparently since I'll be busy in Amaranthine and my home of Gwaren and being rulers of those lands. 

I was like Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!!         

Has anyone else gotten these endings?  This is what I'd like to know.

Why Zevran as my LI on ending slide instead of Alistair?

They do go well together.  Was Ali hardened too?  I've never gotten this ending, but then, I almost always wind up romancing Leli at some point...

Yes, Ali and Leliana both hardened during my playthrough.  I never knew that you could hardened Leliana.  I read that on the wiki and decided to try it.  None of my HNF will do that again.

My OP tells how I arrived at this ending.  I made Alistair sole ruler, with him and Leliana both hardened.  I had Alistair and Zevran both at 100% love and I never talked with Alistair again where he forces the HNF to choose between him and Zevran.  Then I hardened Leliana.  You can find on the wiki on how to hardened Leliana.  I think I found this on one of the wiki pages for dialogue options for each party member.

LOL!  The wiki reading of hardening Leliana made me do it!

I guess what got me most was getting Zevran as LI instead of Alistair at the end even though Alistair acknowledges our relationship.  Apparently Leliana was reading more into this or I am!  LOL!

I will just point out that you did not finish Zevran's romance. It's impossible to do the ending of it with Alistair also at 100 love. you missed the best part!  Zevran has more romance related lines after he offers the earring for the first time, including possibly a proposal (if you turned the earring down).

Edit; with the epilogue cards, you will only get one set of them, and Zevran in love takes precedence over Alistair in love.

Yes, but this ending was...I want to say 'bugged' but that's not quite right. You didn't resolve either of the two romances you were engaged in by avoiding talking to Alistair about the Zevran romance, which would have forced you to pick one or the other. So your ending was a little bollocksed. You made Alistair king, but he didn't seem to know it. He's probably not really supposed to go off with Leliana under those circumstances. So I'm curious to know what circumstances were supposed to lead to that slide, since I've never heard of it before.

I suspect it's:
Killed Loghain, made Anora queen (Maybe ruled yourelf, too? Unknown. Not 'stayed with the Wardens')
Hardened Leliana-no romance-marjolaine dead
Broke up with Alistair (or never romanced?)
Didn't finish Zevran romance (or never romanced?)

As far as I know, Alistair usually stays with the wardens, at least for a while when not the king and still in Ferelden, even when Leliana is hardened, so this is new.

While Alistair's romance may have been resolved, Zevran's was not. but it doesn't matter. the flags are set properly. It's just that Zevran's in love epilogue takes precedence over Alistair's (it comes first in the toolset).

Are you sure they went together? I've seen the hardened Leli slide and she does indeed work with Alistair to learn about the deep roads and the broodmothers and she braves the deep roads but thats about it.

I've ended the game having Zevran in love and being married to Alistair. I also never forced the conversation with Alistair over Zevran and still became Queen. It didn't set Zevran back to friendship. So it might be a bug. I'm not sure.

Again, you did not finish Zevran's romance, but again, it doesn't matter.  You cannot finish Zevran's romance with Alistair at 100 love.  To finish Zevran's romance, you have to talk to him at camp, beyond the royal scandal talk.  You have to invite him to the tent to open up the last romance dialog.

And it was Alistair sending Leliana off to find more about about the darkspawn.  Nothing more.

Edit; it is not a bug.  Zevran will stay with the warden if they're getting married, but normal jealousy rules apply.  Had you clicked on him one more time, you would have been forced to choose between him and Alistair, but even if you chose Zevran, you would still marry Alistair at that point (political marriage).  To finish the romance with Zevran, again, you need to invite him to the tent, then ask him what has changed.  Then you get his confession of love, and perhaps a proposal.

The reason you got Zevran's epilogue card instead of Alistair's at taht point is because Zevran's card come first in the toolset.  you would still get the royal wedding cards and such, just the longer term cards you only get one.

Ah! Okay. So Alistair didn't go too. That makes a whole lot more sense. He's king, and she has to go somewhere if she doesn't join Brother Genetivi.

My warden wasn't in a relationship with her except as a friend, so this warden won't go off with her.  Why not have Wynne do this job instead?  I would think the circle has books on the darkspawn, why Leliana?   

Thank you for the explanation about Zevran's slide being the love interest instead of Alistair.  I've never tried using the toolset.

Thank you for the explanation about Zevran's slide being the love interest instead of Alistair.  I've never tried using the toolset. 

because that's how Leliana ends if hardened and marjolaine is dead.  Wynne has a different ending.

You should check out the real ending to Zevran's romance, btw.  It really is quite unexpected.

Ok, I see what you're saying.  From a rpg warden view.  Zevran was in love with me and not the other way around.  So I left it the way it was.  I didn't realize it would make a difference with the slides. 

Yes, Alistair sends Leliana to investigate.  I'm sorry, I didn't make this clear in my other post.

LOL, you're right if she is braving the roads on her own. 

But the question still begs, does she go alone?  Alistair is all for bringing her along if you try not to in Lothering.  I'm just saying we can roleplay it that they were hooking up on the side, behind a female warden's back.  Just sayin'.

I've never done the political marriage ending before.  I'll have to try this.  Something new to do!    So the trick is to talk with Zevran instead of Alistair.

Hmmm, Alistair seems to have been busy, Zevran knew too, when he smarts off to Alistair that he should repent of his own sins!  LOL!   What I mean is that the odd dialogue with Wynne in RTO, Morrigan (DR),  Leliana, and of course any female warden.  Yes, it appears that Alistair is indeed a bad, bad, man.  Oh, let's not forget Isabela at the pearl!   

If I do the political marriage, then I'm running away with Anders, since Zevran left too!

Anyway methinks Leliana going into the DR is the most stupid idea, she ever had. What if she gets captured and "Hespith-fied?"

Oh well, I'm sure one of my Warden are looking forward to kill Leli-broodmother.
