Seems too soon. How much progress could they have made in such little time?

I'm not saying that there wont be a ME3... they said years ago it is a trilogy.

I just think it may be too soon to announce it and I'm hoping this new ME game is something else.

I don't think its the WW2 English Blitz (wouldn't make sense); its the Skyllian Blitz which was a major assault on the human colony of Elysium in 2176. If your Shep was war hero he did this; thats sorta makes sense only if your shep was a war hero... I think ME3 is the end of the current timeline... wouldn't make sense going back in time... *shrugs*

Man, I really hope Mass Effect doesn't do the whole time travel thing with it's storyline. Personally I hate time travel storylines. Even the good ones like Terminator are still pretty bad and filled with paradoxes and plot holes.

I agree. It would make the story just a whole "Wtf" moment. Not that I don't like stories like Back to the Future and all, but that's just too much crap for a story like Mass Effect's. And many other things too.

Maybe if they went back far enough, you could be your own great-great-great-grandparent.  :bandit:  Also not a big fan of time-travel, though I liked the whales

I hope to hell Shepard doesn't do the time warp, but if he does, he better remind himself to set his watch Posted Image

In any case, here's hoping Mass Effect 3 is announced, and not some lame ass spin off.

I imagine it like that :

EA CEO : "Tomorrow, we add the Mass Effect 3 Ad. Bye for now!"

Technical Monkey : "For more awe we add Mass Effect 3 Ad Right now? Ok *sends the update*"

EA CEO : "You... fired"

Not to be a conspiracy theorist, but how could this possibly be an accident? If it's real, great, but they wouldn't accidentally release this info on their site, given how tight lipped they have been about DA2.

Now seems like the time to start the teaser engine for ME3. If Mass Effect 2 was released in Nov. 2009 it would have been 2 years exactly between games. I read that it should be a faster turn around between part 2 and 3 so I'm sure a fall 2011 release is something to expect at this point.
