[Zombie Chow]

Following the opening post's format:



SAVE #1 (imported from ME1): Everyone recruited in ME1, Kaidan died on Virmire. Everyone recruited and loyal in ME2, including Zaeed BUT NO Kasumi. Everyone survived. Chose Samara over Morinth. Paragon.



SAVE #2 (started in ME2): Everyone recruited and loyal in ME2, including Zaeed BUT NO Kasumi. Everyone survived. Chose Samara over Morinth. Renegade.



SAVE #3 (started in ME2): Everyone recruited and loyal in ME2, including Zaeed BUT NO Kasumi. Everyone survived. Chose Samara over Morinth. Renegade.



Quick context - I basically made an "ideal" Shepard from ME1 and carried it over to ME2 as my first playthrough. Then I just made new characters in ME2 to try out different classes. For ME3, I'm probably only carrying over my "ideal" Shepard from ME1, but will start Saves/Shepards in ME3 itself.

I recruited everyone and Kai died on Virmire

In ME2, I recruited all 12 squadmates, and they where all loyal, the only person who died was Morinth and that was during the Samara's LM.

The only diffrence in saves is Ashley or Kai's death, and Wrex was killed in one of my saves, which I hate.

All my ME1 saves look like this: Recruited all. Ashley dead. Wrex alive. Someday I'll let Ashley live. Well, maybe.



Everyone is recruited and survived in all my ME2 saves except one where I couldn't paragon Zaeed into being loyal, so in retaliation I had him lead the second fire team and he bought it.

This is in accordance with the five completed ME2 playthrough's I currently have. All of them are imports.

UPDATE: With the data I have collected so far (the last post was Temaperacl), I have a rough estimate of survival rates for all characters. For the sake of simplicity, the non-recruited squadmates are counted as dead.

I probably made a lot of errors in measurement, so the following list is by no means definitive, and I will provide much more reliable statistics once I have more data and time to re-examine everyone's answers.

• 1st place, with 100% survival rate: Liara. She has plot armor.
• 2nd place, at 91%, is Miranda: her plot armor is potent, but not impregnable.
• Tied for 3rd: Garrus and Grunt, each at 82%.
• Tied for 5th: Jacob and Jack, each at 80%.
• At 7th place, we have Mordin, with 79%.
• Tied for 8th are Tali and Thane with 77% survival.
• Wrex, surprisingly, is tied with Zaeed for 10th place, with a 74% survival rate. This number is probably way off, though. Remember that forumers alone are not an accurate representation of the overall ME2-owner demographic.
• Slot #12 has another tie, this time between Samara and Legion, at 70%.
• In 14th place is Kasumi, with a 69% survival rate. (This is especially low since "not recruited" and "survived" were lumped together. I'll fix this next time I go through the data.)
• 15th place belongs to Ashley, with 67%.
• Kaidan gets 16th with only 33%.
• And finally, Morinth is at the bottom rung, in 17th place, surviving only 13% of playthroughs.

-Recruited everyone in Mass Effect 1
-Convinced Wrex we were destroying the base for the right reasons
-Was going to romance Ashley, but I left her to die on Virmire
-Recruited all Mass Effect 2 teammates
-Killed Morinth
-Everyone survived the suicide mission.

2) Beth Shepard
-Recruited everyone in Mass Effect 1
-Convinced Wrex we were destroying the base for the right reasons
-Left Ashley to die on Virmire
-Recruited all Mass Effect 2 teammates
-Killed Morinth
-Everyone survived the suicide mission.
-Things got really heated with Zaeed during his loyalty mission

3) Emily Shepard
-Recruited everyone in Mass Effect 1
-Convinced Wrex we were destroying the base for the right reasons
-Left Kaidan to die on Virmire
-Recruited all Mass Effect 2 teammates
-Killed Morinth
-Mordin died in the vents, and Legion couldn't upload to another server after leading the 2nd team.

4) Carl Shepard
-Recruited everyone in Mass Effect 1
-Had Ashley shoot Wrex
-Left Kaidan to die on Virmire
-Recruited all Mass Effect 2 teammates
-Screwed up Samara's loyalty mission
-Legion was shipped off
-Deaths: Jack had to sit near an overloading computer, Tali got incinerated, Thane was impaled, Mordin got a missile in the face, Grunt was carried off. Miranda died holding the line.

5) Damian Shepard
-Was a Mass Effect 2 created character. Presumably, all Mass Effect 1 teammates were recruited.
-Kaidan was left to die.
-Wrex was shot.
-Recruited all Mass Effect 2 teammates
-Killed Samara
-Deaths: Jack was overloaded, Legion was incinerated, Zaeed was impaled. Jacob got a missile in the face. Mordin died holding the line.

6) Ayane Shepard
-Recruited everyone in Mass Effect 1
-Shot Wrex for jeopardizing the mission
-Left Ashley to die on Virmire
-Recruited all Mass Effect 2 teammates
-Killed Morinth
Deaths: Tali got incinerated, Thane got impaled, Mordin got a missile in the face, Kasumi's shields didn't hold up under fire.

7) Ryan Shepard
-Recruited everyone in Mass Effect 1
-Had Ashley shoot Wrex for jeopardizing the mission
-Left Kaidan to die on Virmire
-Recruited all Mass Effect 2 teammates
-Killed Samara
-Shipped Legion
Deaths: Tali got incinerated, Thane got impaled, Garrus got a missile in the face, Grunt got carried off, Mordin died escorting the crew, Morinth died because her barriers couldn't hold up as the 2nd leader.

I think the main reason Morinth isn't staying alive is because she's nowhere near as interesting as Samara. There's not much of a relationship - not that I'd want to in terms of an "intimate" one - you can develop with her at all.

ME2:

I went into ME2 determined to play through as I always play Bioware games, just make all the decisions I would actually make and let the chips fall where they may, I wouldn't break character to gain loyalty or to meta game. But sure enough I didn't really find anyone's motivations in the loyalty quests disagreeable(except for Zaeed but I had enough paragon points to gain loyalty anyway.) Then we get to the big suicide mission and...



Everybody made it. Lol, chalk it up to me just being a really big ME fanboy, I just knew who to send to do what.

Whilst it is interesting to see the percentage difference between Ashley and Kaiden I think that looking at that is irrelevant. As much as I know how Ash/Kai fans hate it, for the moment they really need to be classed as one entity. In that whichever survived got given the same plot armor Liara had and thus together they would make 100%



Whilst I do hope they become 'seperate' again in talking to Shep in ME3, I think it would be crazy for Bioware to give more of a role for one over the other just because more people saved one of them. The VS decison wasn't like the suicide mission where with the latter the player had more control over if someone died or not.

Okay in Mass Effect 1, all but Kaiden (Couldn't save both and Ashley means ever so much to me)

and come Mass Effect 2 I recruited all ten of the main characters and they all lived, did not download any.





This is the same for all my playthroughs.

We seem to be split evenly on the Ashley/Kaidan issue

cannot remember all. but on current "perfect playthrough" all have survived, in ME1 i left kaiden to die. (sorry kaiden but i have to have my super ashley/liara combo) first playthrough on ME2 miranda and mordin died, everyone else survived.

currently planning ME1+2 ultimate insanity marathon playthrough over christmas followed by dragonage origins 1st time play, and finished of with a marathon halo campaign from reach all the way to 3 on "Mythic"

3. Who did you recruit in Mass Effect 2?  Any DLC characters?  Did you skip a possible squadmate, like Legion?
