You did the math? Oh, shucks, I'm beaten I guess.
[Factors in the noobs... casuals... 60% of people who didn't get the NOLB medal on first playthrough... 10% of people who never bothered with flushing Grunt out of the tank... 10% of people on this forum, who don't have a "perfect" save -- screw them says you...]
All right, keep fooling yourself.
Actually, when
nine out of ten people have at least one perfect playthrough, I think
you're the one who's fooling himself. It's not a matter of screwing over the people who don't have a NOLB, it's a matter of NOT screwing over the whopping 90% that do. Besides, are you seriously going to whine and angst over how you don't get to recruit Garrus again when
you're the one that made an active decision to kill him off, thus implying that you didn't want him to return in ME3? Didn't you
want your decisions to have bigger consequences, anyway?
Note that most of the people who didn't get the NOLB achievement on their first run went back and did it again. And I admit, it really sucks that I don't have data for casual players (and I honestly have no way of getting it without waiting for Bioware to throw out another release), but what I HAVE collected so far is interesting:
So far, no squadmate (apart from Morinth) has an overall survival rate lower than 75% (that number is subject to change, since I haven't factored in the last few submissions yet). And, according to my data, it's much more common to send Legion to Cerberus than it is to not recruit Grunt.
Gotta admit, though, the overall vs. forumer stats are interesting: forumers only skipped Grunt 3% of the time, while overall he was skippd 10% of the time. 7% isn't a huge difference, mind you, but I'd really like to see detailed, official statistics one of these days. You know, since forumers tend to be obsessive completionists and thus I am stuck with massive sample bias.
I'll post a more detailed rundown when I have the time (Sunday night, probably). As of now, I am trapped in dial-up hell and thus even typing up
this reply was torture.
