So I'm a bit frustrated, at something. Has anyone else noticed that when I choose to upgrade shields via the upgrade terminal on board the Normandy 2, the defensive upgrades read that they will upgrade squad defenses also. So why doesn't the change take effect? If I find an upgrade in the field, usually through scanning something, the upgrade takes effect for that mission only. 

Does anyone know if this has or is being addressed? I'd imagine if it hasn't, it wont, but then again BioWare seems to be supporting ME2 for longer than most companies would.

If you find an upgrade in the field, you need to research it after returning to the Normandy. Only upgrades bought from shops go into effect instantly.



As for the shield upgrade bug, to my knowledge, no, it has not been addressed.

Found the fix. Its stupid. Effectively it works this way, Upgrade the squad, then start a mission, no change. Save in the mission/ in the field, and then re-load the save, and everyone has their upgraded defenses or damage modifiers. I've gotten Garrus's shields to nearly 400 while in a mission this way.



Works, but stupid that the game doesn't register the upgrade to your team if you continue to play the game, or just run a mission straight from the Normandy 2 or a planet where a mission began i.e. Illos.
