Greetings!

While the Warden's Oath amulet is nice with its +2 to constitution, there is so much treasure out there that I'm sure players have swapped that out for something that is more in tune stat-wise with a rogue's strengths.

So...what did your rogue "find"*  in his/her travels to replace the Warden's Oath?

*because Andraste knows we rogues would never ever steal anything, right?   ;-)

I don't know if this is the best she could wear, but at the moment my current level 12 DC rogue is switching back and forth between:

Amulet of Accord
+0.75 health regen in battle
+5 health regen while exploring
Reduces hostility
+5 physical resistance

and

Caridin's Cage
+20% electricity resistance
Improves backstabs
Improves trap detection
+7.5% electricity damage

I copied the stats from the game, which are much better than those listed on the wiki.

High Regard at first, then Spellward.

Depends on the type of rogue I would say, by the way. With Lethality I'd say High Regard is best, otherwise Spellward. Maybe if you're soloing, Spellward is also better in any case.

Spellward is of course a great amulet but I like giving it to Alistair who is a templar. At least from a role playing perspective I think that the High Regard of House Dace is more appropriate for a rogue.

I'm not sure about Caridin's cage because it reduces Cunning - an important attribute for Rogues.

This is why The High Regard of House Dace is good for a Rogue - because it gives +6 Cunning amongst other things.

I'm not playing as a Rogue at the moment - I use Leliana for that role and I equip her with the following:

Weapons - 2H:
Biteback or Bloodline
Dead Thaig Shanker

Weapons - Bow: Marjorlain's Recurve

Gloves: Red Jenny Seekers
Armour: Felon's Coat
Boots: Cadash Stompers

Belt: Magister's Cinch
Amulet: Seekers Circle
Ring1: Harvest Festival Ring
Ring2: Silverleaf

It's odd because the wiki stats show that it reduces Cunning, but that doesn't show when I look at it in the game.

High Regard or Spellward depending on how many rogues I have in my party and what class I am playing.

I loaded up the character playthrough were I sided with Branka, just to try and confirm the stats but I couldn't find Caridin's cage in my inventory or equipped on any party members - which meant I must've sold it.

I generally sell items which aren't of particular use or reduce vital attributes to keep my inventory from getting filled up.

If Caridin's cage had all those things which you mentioned, it wouldn't have got sold.

Illumination ... I have to look it up on the wiki since I can't remember what it does ...

+3 to all attributes

+10 mental resistance

May not be the best for a rogue, but I'm easily swayed *plus it's shiny*

I've got Improved Atmosphere and Slinks installed.  Is it possible one of those mods may have altered the stats?

My rogue doesn't seem to have an issue with magic damage taken, so it's been the high regard of house dace, since level 1. Perhaps if I was soloing with him, I'd feel different, but it's hard to pass up the +6 cunning. During Origins, Alistair wore the spellward, and I didn't bother to import it to Awakening.

Another vote for High Regard of House Dace. It's new and shiny, though, so I'll probably switch it out at some point.

The Spellward also gives you 10% chance to dodge. This is extremely valuable if your character has low defense.

I tend to build Alistair as a mostly strength-based tank for the damage and then give him items with dodge. Works really well, and he does a ton of damage.

My rogue has 60+ dexterity, so defense isn't an issue. He's almost like a backup tank. By the end of Awakening, my dual wield rogue will probably have something like 75 dexterity, 60 cunning and ~40 constitution. He's an indestructible killing machine. That's why I prefer High Regard of House Dace over The Spellward.
