Would you like DA2 to lead into DA3?  Do you want a "What the ****" ending?  Do you want to continue playing after the credits?

That depends on how many companions we can kill. I wouldn't mind something like BG 2 where you have a number of old friends along with you.

Hawke dies to pave the way for the return of the Warden/Morrigan/Old God Baby in DA3. I support that :)

I expect Morrigan and Flemeth to pop up. Unlike the Warden, I doubt Hawke will have a die option.

I expect the McGuffin-Baby might be mentioned in passing.

I want the same level of doom and gloom DA:O had.

At the very least.

I want an ending that resolve the story of this game, and might drop hints about the third one. And generally, no, I don't particaulary want to keep playing after the ending, it's not something that I do for most games even when given the chance, though in the end, it does depend fully on how the game ends.

Ideally I'd like Dragon Age to expand in a manner that a new Dragon Age game is released every year. Sort of like Call of Duty did. Say one storyline following the Darkspwan conflict proper (DA:O), and another storyline following the exploits and tales of important heros and villains of Thedas.

Of course with as much lore that goes into a game like DA thats going to be impossible, but one can dream.

I do hope to continue playing (and be able to visit hubs) after the credits. As far as a run up to DA3, I don't know. The patient (and hopeful) part of me hopes Hawkes story is a small part of a very big world, and that there is room for an entirely seperate storyline for DA3. The not so patient(and more practical) part hopes DA2 is indeed a lead up to DA3.

Please drop the 'import a save game' function from DA 3.

I find it understandable in Mass Effect, but I'll point out that I've imported all of one saved game to ME 2. I'm not going to replay ME just to have a saved game to import. I'm not going to replay DA:O just to have a saved game to import.

I know some people who created 11 different saved games for ME2, but 1) they're insane, and 2) they were among the least satisfied with ME2's acknowledgment of their choices.

Do something like KotOR 2 and just ask me important questions. Or give me a checklist to fill out or something. It's less of a hassle for me and I best gamers who join with DA 3 will be annoyed if there's content they've missed because they didn't play the first two games.

I'd be happy editing an .ini file.

I would prefer if a cannon timeline was implemented for the series (Complete disregard to choices made in past games) allowing old characters to return and a more streamlined storyline for future games. I would also like my own PC, but though I shouldn't speculate I bet DA3 will also revolve around Hawke.

Why would they be annoyed when they still get to experience the full story of DA3? That like saying people who never played ME1 couldn't possibly enjoy ME2 as much as those who did play the first game. The only thing you'd miss by not playing DA:O or DA2 is your previous choices having an effect on the world, but that's hardly something a new player will even notice, since he's not familiar with the world anyway.

Only on the internet is 'annoyed' a synonym for 'couldn't possibly enjoy.'

I think you'd be in the minority with that.

I'd rather it didn't.

So what is there to be annoyed about? If you just jumped aboard with DA3 yo will neither know nor care about what happened in previous games, as long as you get to enjoy the current game to the fullest.
If you never played Kotor 1 would you have really cared what answers you pick regarding Revan in Kotor 2?

I like the import function and I was happy with it in ME2, and do not enjoy playing the game without an import only because I know what's missing.

I don't know how carrying the choices of two games DAO and DA2 into DA3 would work I guess that it would get very complicated. The only choices from origins that I really care about are,  LI, whose King/queen, and DR - I'm sure that they will be able to keep track of much more than this.

I like the ideas you presented in the last paragraph. Having the game ask important questions before a playthrough, or checking off a list of key decisions made/not made is a whole lot better than having to have the "perfect" save from DAO to import into DA2 or DA3.

If a gamers introduction to DA is DA3 ...and they are annoyed because they have missed out on content due to not playing the first two games...that would be  rather silly .

According to you they are in a no-win situation anyway....as playing the previous iterations would only fuel their annoyance, as you know those that do and import their save are among the least satisfied.

Thus making a checklist superflous too...for exactly the same reasons.

It appears it would be prudent to avoid the franchise altogether......or just play default.

If Bioware could somehow pull off an epic group of companions and leads from both games into one for DA3, including both Hawke (provided he is a good character) and the Warden.

The Warden is dead..irrespective of your game choice he won't be coming back as a PC.

It isn't opinion....it's cold fact.

The option to make the ultimate sacrifice was significant.

I'd be in favour of a questionnaire instead of importing too. After the bugs in the epilogue of DAO and importing into Awakening and Witch Hunt, I have very little faith that my choices are going to be acknowledged correctly in DA2 and in future sequels.

I want a proper ending which resolves the story line and doesn't feel the need to make my PC mysteriously vanish.

I really don't want it to turn out the Hawke and the Warden have both been merely puppets of Flemeth.

Yeah I agree with this, Thats one thing I really dont like about the Mass Effect Series, Its based around Shepherd and he's like some sort of god able to overcome the odds all the time etc.

I like the idea of major decisions carrying over into other games however. It would be cool even just for someone to mention something like "Did you hear, Fereldens got a new king" or something like that. But yeah the whole route that the developers have taken that the game is about the world and not the charecter makes me super happy =D.

So heres hoping for a new charecter every game

I really like the DA:Origins ending and would love to have a similar ending in DA2. If DA2 should be a bad game, you can still have a very good first game and be happy with it because you don't get any stupid cliffhangers.

Heh..we're all puppets in Flemeth's game, no doubt.
