The Warden is dead..irrespective of your game choice he won't be coming back as a PC.
It isn't opinion....it's cold fact.
The option to make the ultimate sacrifice was significant.
Yes, indeed it was.
Wasn't it nice of Loghain to choose to make the sacrifice to attempt to atone for nearly destroying the country in the Blight?
I know my Warden won't be back. She is quite happy working with Leliana to gather more information on the darkspawn, after cleaning up the little problem of Amaranthine and starting on rebuilding the Grey in Ferelden.
I do have one Warden who died. Just like I have one Warden who allowed the Dark Ritual to happen. I like the Loghain solution better, ymmv.

Well going by how many have gone on about how it would be cool to see the Warden in DA2, the obvious thing is, that the same thing will happen if/when DA3 is released if the lead character isn't Hawke.
Considering how this story is allegedly going to lead the world to some situation, being able to see the person who had a big hand in it if playing as someone else would obviously stick out.
So with that said, I think one ending will have Hawke dying just not because of some reason like the warden dying in DAO but some other thing. I suppose if they were happy with this game engine they could keep it for a follow-up and so an import into DA3 could allow for you to have an NPC of Hawke looking like how the player created him/her in DA2.
To me it sounds like its going to turn into a 'two sides go to war' scenario, I just hope there is enough depth in the story to allow different variations of the ending like there was with DAO. Yes if you were to specifically talk of just the Warden there was either 'Warden lives' or 'Warden dies', but there was the other stuff as well like who was king and/or queen, who was in charge of dwarves, who was in charge of circle, who survive out of dalish and werewolves etc..
That to me made DAO fun and replayable.

I would like to see some *good* dlc for DA2 before I start speculating about DA3.
