I didnt hated him, but he wasnt exactly sympathical either. Pretty much a male version of Wynne.LunSei Sleidee wrote...

First Enchanter Irving - though as brief as his screentime may be - strikes me as a very awesome character... I like that while talking with him I always had the impression of a smirk under the beard, as if he already planned four steps ahead of your actions...
Plus I love the voiceacting![]()
Someone liked that guy?? I hated him so very much. He was such a bastard. :/
Who is your favorite character? :)

Well my anti fav is definitely Morrigan.
Favorite character is probably Alistair, hes funny, with you the whole way through and willing to stand by your side through almost anything. The fact that hes pretty much the Anti-Morrigan character is probably why I liked him so much, and also the reason why I dislike Morrigan so much.
I did however love listening to those two go at it whenever they were both in the group

Close tie between Morrigan and Leliana. Morrigan for all the cynical comic relief and a very nice background story as you get to know her better. Leliana for the most complete and satisfying game romance I have yet to play (and I have played all Bioware RPG since BG1).
Third would be Oghren. He is a big favorite for just being so unashamedly himself.
A runner up may be Anora, but it's probably more for the potential character I think she may be if you got to know her. I realize she might instead end up being utterly boring too once you got to know her.

My favorite character is Sophia Dryden. She was fascinating, troubling and charismatic. In just the tiny amount of time she was on screen she left a vivid impression on me. I wish the devs had told more of her story.

The best inter-NPC teasing is done by Morrigan and Leliana to others. Any conversation between Alistair and Morrigan is classic but one of my favorites was between Leliana and Sten. I'm paraphrasing here so this isn't exact, but here's roughly how it went.
Leliana: I saw that.
Sten: What do you mean?
Leliana: I saw you there, playing with that kitten.
Sten: I was not playing with it.
Leliana: Sten, you were dangling a piece of twine in front of it.
Sten: I was helping it train for battle.
Leliana: You are a softy...sooooofffty.

^ What's so great about Leliana and Sten convos is that Sten's 'excuses' are actually believable. Kittens do learn how to hunt and hone their 'battle' skills through playing. And many beautiful flowers (Leiliana also catches Sten picking flowers) are actually medicinal. But, then again, Sten has a sweet-tooth and a fondness for paintings, so who knows. And that brings me to why Sten is perhaps my favorite character in the game.
I can't really explain it, but getting Sten to trust my PC and open up to him/her is an incredibly rewarding experience. Earning Sten's respect, equally so. He is a far more complex character than he seems to be at the outset. And to what other character in the game can your PC say, "I'm not here to impress you" and actually earn approval?
There is actually no character in this game that I actively dislike. They are all interesting and multi-dimensional, as long as you take the time to get to know them. And to those who do have characters they dislike (especially all the Alistair haters on this forum), I will say only this: the way you interact with NPCs, both in your party and not, determines the way they react to you. And with your party members, the way you treat them does affect their overall character development. So if Alistair is just a whiny ******-ant, for example, it's partly because you helped to make him that way. If you're playing an evil or even just "pragmatic" character who is perpetually annoyed by Alistair's naive goody-two-shoes personality, then that's your PC's choice. Don't blame Alistair for it. ;-P

I like the way the characters all seem to embody some personality disorder.
Oghren has poor impulse control
Zevran is histrionic
Alistair is avoidant
Morrigan is antisocial
Wynn is paranoid
Sten is schizoid
Dog is a Red Zone case (according to Cesar Millan)
Leliana is schizophrenic
and Shale is... err... a rock?
If I had to pick one, I'd say Dog. He can be rehabilitated

Leliana
I play the English version , but i'm an Orlesian in real life , so i don't care about her accent , she's just too cute , i like her voice , sensual and with mods , she's beautiful .
Also , if you spec her well in cunning and archery , she's very strong at higher level and very useful , also she has a great heart , pure compassion and goodwill in her , and those are the quality i value the most in human beings .
I wish a Merry Christmas to everyone here

I'd have to go with Leliana, although I haven't spent much time with Zev, Oghren, or the dog to judge them. I'm partial to rogue characters, though, and Leliana's got the tough/sensitive thing down, so she's nearly a shoo-in.

Well the way i see it , Morrigan is selfish , anti-social , can be quite nasty and uncompassionate/cold , possessive/jealous , she's only concerned about herself or power , she's ungrateful and too "invading" (sry for English , i mean trying to influence people around her too much ), she has some good sides , but for me the bad points overshadow the good ones

I can honestly say that I like all the "regular" companions. They're all so well-written and diverse, and I love witnessing the randomized character interactions.
Alistair is a sweetheart and I've swooned over him numerous times while playing the game. He is probably the only character I genuinely wish I could know in real life.
I started out disliking Leliana because generally religiously outspoken people rub me the wrong way, but I've grown to like her as I started using her in my party formation and she became my mage's true friend.
Zevran initially put me off with his attitude and promiscuity, but as I neared the end of the game I realized just how loyal he is and kinda regretted not romancing him.
Morrigan's a ****, but she is a fun ****.
