I love Alistair, but Morrigan is a close second. They both have such interesting/hilarious personalities and backgrounds. Not to mention, when they start going at one another it is insanely funny.
Who is your favorite character? :)

Favourite easily Zevran, then Morrigan and Shale.
not so much - Alistair & Sten.
Oghren and Wynne - not really my pals - but I like that there's someone for everyone,,, ...obviously I like my dog.

OK new favorite character. Oghren is the best, hands down.
He's vile, disgusting, funny, drinks beer, loves to kill ****, and is scruffy. He's the typical bad ass.
Not to mention his dialog with other characters is funny, especally with Wynne. He tries to bone her, one converstaion he got her to try some of his Ale, and she liked it. She made a nice comment on his ability to make good ale and he started to laugh and said "If I weren't in this armor, well I'd. You know, uh take you around the corner." Wynne respons with "What and give me more ale?"
Hahaha. That's just part of it he's always funny as hell and ready to kick some ass at any opportunity.

For some reason I actually like Leiliana, might be her history and behaviour but oh well.
Zevran is also someone who's grown on me with his sexual innuendoes and remarks.

Alistair and Morrigan. I love those two, especially when they are together.

I'd best say Morrigan. She stalks every character I create. Cannot get enough of me. And why would I complain? A gorgeous, cheeky, brilliant, dark woman who is going to bed me one way or another.
After her, Shale. I just convulse with laughter at some of his remarks, especially to her and Zevran. He is just a hoot. And does awesome damage as well, of course.

Sandal hands down, but party members I love the banter with Zevran and Shale "So you're a crow?"

For me, I'm a Leliana fanboy to the end. It's gotta be the accent. and the red-ish hair.
If there was ever a pile of pixels to fall for, it would be her.
but i do enjoy Zeveran's dialogue with the group as well as the back and forth between Morrigan and Allistai.

Zevran for me. I know he can be very polarizing, but I found him to be one of the most sympathetic and definitely the deepest character in the game. Too many people take his words at face value, forgetting that he deflects with humor and is uncomfortable with his feelings. I was a little leery about him after seeing his promo trailer, thinking he looked rather sleazy and shallow, but was absolutely won over by BioWare's subversion of this stereotype.

Zevran, no competition. He's not at all the bad boy he pretends to be, and is the most loyal companion if you treat him well. His interactions are hilarious and he completely pwns everyone with his innuendos. And he's my kind of hot too.
Shale, the incredibly funny sarcastic pigeon-hating golem is a close second. I never thought I'd make a golem a regular party member - Shale proved me wrong. I think I was sold the moment he crushed that chicken.
And now that I think of it the third place goes to (please don't shoot me).... Loghain. He's pretty cool for a villain, my only regret is that you get him so late in the game, I would have liked more interaction.

personality wise, its gotta be Zevran. he has a lot of witty nonsense coming out of his mouth all the time and its hilarious.
Combat wise however, its gotta be either my warden (obviously) and Sten. he is just a beast with the two handed sword.
Shale is a close second cause of his good combat and lack of understanding of human society.

leliana followed by wynne from storytelling point of view. that´s when playing
mostly nice and attached to my role and cautious.
both leliana and wynne are very rich characters with many facettes.
Through their stories and in wynnes case guidance the y can open up
my mostly inexperienced characters eye and bring much depth and to
the game. (Kudos to the fantastic voice acting in the game btw. Even without the
game i could listen to Lelianas Bard stories)
however when i just
played Mass Effect and im in bad ass mood, most of DA characters with
exception Morrigan are too soft for me. its very distracting playing
badass (even paragon badass if you like) and permanently noticing "lost
xy influence with xy char".
In that mood i usually favor Shale, the
Dog and Sten. At least they're not permanently in some crisis about my
actions or even worse my comments.
from strategy point of view neither seleciton makes sense, you need to combine anyway

favorite guy character: Alistair of course. He's just soooo adorable all around. favorite girl character: Morrigan (Leliana is too goody-goody and Wynne grates on my last nerve with her constant criticism). I absolutely *hate* Wynne (could have something to do with the fact it pisses me off when she starts dissing my relationship with Alistair lol).

For party members it'd Shale and Oghren by far.
A drunk Oghren keeling over in camp makes me laugh every time, plus party
banter ensures that he's in the party as often as possible.
Shale's deadpan sarcasm does it for me, I always seem to favour the sarcastic
characters. Plus I kind of like her background.
There isn't really a character I hate, but Morrigan does get on my nerves with
her disapproval of everything.
NPCs my favourites would be Gorim and Duncan. I liked Duncan a lot, and since I hadn't been clued
up with the game before release and stuff what happened did surprise me. (I'm a
sucker for getting pulled into a good story very early on haha.)
The ones I hate can only be Branka and Anora. Branka for obvious
reasons and Anora because she gets right on my nerves every time she speaks.

I like Allistair, Morrigan, Zevran. Allistair because he has that funny boyish humor and Morrigan because her bluntness is amusing.
Zevran because his sexual innuendos are always entertaining. It's also really funny when you hear his conversation with Oghren because he too is a perv.

Team snark for me, which is Alistair, Morrigan, Shale and Zevran. Although I like all, they are by far my favorite characters of DA:O.... with Alistair up in front of them, of course.

Anyway, my favourite character is Leliana, with Morrigan, Zevran and Sten following closely behind.

Morrigan, no questions asked, her storyline & romance made it for me, I don't actually know why it was so great but it just was. Sten I liked too quite a bit, the no-nonsense attidu of his, Oghren was a fun character, otherwise, the companions were nothing special to me, except Leliana who I possibly hate more than any other character that I have ever seen in a videogame.
